A new retro-style arcade shooter has landed on Google Play called Vritra. Developed by Salvo Inc., this particular arcade shooter is almost a bullet hell type of shooter. We say almost because while there is a lot of bullets to dodge and shoot, there isn’t the amount you would find in a true bullet hell game but there is more than what you find in your average arcade shooter.
SNK Playmore already released Metal Slug 3 onto Android not too long ago and now they have decided to release the first game in the series as well. Metal Slug is now available on Google Play and even though it is a port, the controls have been designed for mobile gaming and can have their location customized to suit your needs.

This sale starts today, actually right now, and goes on until December 27th, 2012 so you do have about a week to pick up either R-Type, Another World or the Raiden Legacy game pack at a discounted price. A new game development studio coming out of London called Super Icon have announced that they will be developing games for the Playstation Mobile platform, along with other mobile platforms such as iOS and Android non-Playstation Certified devices. An interesting Kerby-esque type of platformer will be heading out way soon called Mr. Wave. Developed by Actos Games, this particular indie title features Mr. Wave who happens to be a living microwave in the land of the Kitchen Republic. One day the president of the republic is kidnapped by the folks over in Gourmet City and it is up to you, playing as Mr. Wave, to rescue him.
A new rhythm-style of game has arrived on Android with a rather nice retro flare to it in the graphics department. Developed by Fantom Digital, Dream Beat is a easy to learn but difficult to master type of game where you control a paddle and hit the notes as the come at you. Think of it as a single player Pong-esque type of game based around rhythm gaming mechanics.
