One of the games displayed during E3 2012 was a title from Defiant Development called Heroes Call. Stick the ‘THD’ on the end of that name and you now have the games official title. Now that it has appeared on the Tegra Zone Android marketplace, we also now know when it will be coming out.
Currently in an open beta status, both versions of SoulCraft by Mobilebits have received an update that was apparently inspired by Blizzard’s Diablo III game. For those of you unfamiliar with SoulCraft, this is a top-down isometric 3D action-RPG where humans, angles and demons are battling it out for the right to claim Earth as their own.
The rogue-like genre of games, is a category that rarely sees innovation or originality. The rogue-like genre is a sub-genre of the RPG or role playing games and the majority of rogue-like games I have played all had a severe lack of a style. This is the fact that made them so hard to differentiate from each other, but this is where Delver comes in.
Back in April of this year we reported on Penny Arcade and their new mobile RPG that would be indeed coming to Android called Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3. Aside from the rather eloquent and long title, this RPG is straight out of the retro days complete with the great pixel art style from that time.
Tencent, who just announced that they have acquired a minority stake in Epic Games, are gearing up to release their first western title onto mobile called Realm of Swords. This is another game that meshes together a few genres into one title. In this case it is city building, PvP and a little RPG thrown into the mix for good measure.
A lot of fans of Gamevil’s RPG titles have probably already played the original Illusia game on Android. Well the sequel has finally arrived as of a couple of days ago, appropriately named Illusia 2. In this game you will be trying to figure out what is causing the nightmares which everyone seems to be having.
We previously talked about WeMade during E3 2012 and their stellar line-up of games coming to Android in the near future. One such game is a fully featured 3D MMORPG called Project Dragon – Roar from the Dragon. We only had a few screenshots and a hands-on video but now we have an official trailer and the game looks fantastic.
LeTang is one of those developers that happen to get overlooked by a lot of gamers. However, those who do know of LeTang know that they generally put out some great quality games and in the past 24 hours they have released a couple of big retro style JRPGs onto Google Play called Apocalypse of Skyland I and King Pirate II.
Unveiled during E3 2012, Kemco has officially announced what their next big retro style JRPG will be. The official name is Symphony of the Origin and will be a prequel to their currently released JRPG called Symphony of Eternity which has done pretty well on the Google Play store.
