Back near the beginning of March this year during GDC 2016 we announced that Minecraft would be getting some Virtual Reality love in the near future. While this was for the PC version and headsets like the Oculus Rift, there was also a version announced for the Samsung Gear VR. Well Minecraft Gear VR Edition is now available for download.

Popular Gear VR game Gunjack will be arriving to two other major Virtual Reality headsets in the near future, those being the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Originally announced as a PC game, the developers went ahead and made a VR version for the Samsung Gear VR headset from the ground up. Now it will be launching later this month officially for PC as well as for the Oculus Rift when that headset ships to pre-order owners. Then Gunjack will be landing on the HTC Vive later this year.
Sci-Fi MMORPG Vendetta Online will be getting some Virtual Reality love with multiple VR headsets
Our friends over at Guild Software, the folks behind the long running cross-platform space MMORPG Vendetta Online, have been busy these days with a new project. Today they have decided to pull the curtain back on that project which is bringing Virtual Reality support to their Vendetta Online title.
Mad Catz reveals a refreshed model of their S.U.R.F.r game controller for Samsung’s flagship phones
Back in January Mad Catz announced that they had become part of the Designed for Samsung program. As you are probably guessing, this program is all about designing peripherals and other devices for use with Samsung products, and in the case of Mad Catz, this is mainly game controllers. While at MWC 2016, Mad Catz unveiled a refreshed version of their S.U.R.F.r game controller and mobile keypad designed specifically for Samsung’s new flagship phones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
Samsung has announced some new, gaming specific features for their upcoming flagship devices. They’ve added or tweaked a handful of things, compared to previous releases. If these pan out, it could mean that gamers take these phones more seriously. The models in question are the Samsung Galaxy S7, and the SGS7 Edge.

So what comes in the free Gear VR bundle? Well, it’s actually not a bad little deal.
If Monday is Day 0, with badge pick-up and CES Unveiled, then Tuesday was Day 1, otherwise known as Press Day. This is where we run around trying to get to all the press conferences we can to check out the new products companies are pushing out this year or working on for a general future release.
One of the harder press conferences to get into in person at CES is the Samsung one. There’s always a ridiculous line that you have to wait in, sometimes for over an hour, just to make sure you get a seat. While that is what we have to do, even with our invite, you can chill at home or work and watch it right here live.
Each year at CES we get to sit down with our friends at Mad Catz to check out their newest offerings for the mobile gaming world. Last year it was the L.Y.N.X series of controllers, which are rather cool indeed. This year they will have those available as well as some new mobile goodies in the form of controllers specifically designed for Samsung smartphones and tablets.
With Christmas and New Years over for 2015, and being a few days into a fresh new year, this can only mean one thing and that is its time for CES 2016. Like always we will be there, checking out all the latest and greatest in regards to Android, whether it be a bunch of new devices, new peripherals, or whatever else you can think of. There’s always something good for Android gamers at CES.
