Back in September of last year we reported on a new turn-based strategy war game called Sword of the Stars: Ground Pounders which had just arrived onto Google Play. The developers of this game have been working hard to bring it to PC and now it is available on Steam through there Early Access program. So why are we reporting on it? Because Kerberos Productions has announced that cross-platform gameplay with Android users, among other features, is on the way.

AMA LTD has announced their next game that will be heading to Android soon and this new title is an interesting take on the Battleship’s style of gameplay. Artillery Strike T-7, as the game is called, has players control land-based war vehicles such as tanks and missile launchers, trying to take out their opponents vehicles.
Way back in 2012 we reported on a game not related to pinball that Zen Studios was working called CastleStorm. Android users have been waiting awhile to get their hands on this non-pinball game from the pinball experts. Well Zen Studios has told us that the game is near an official release but for right now those of you interested in this game can try to jump into the beta program for CastleStorm on Android.
Well it is that time again for another round-up of Android games on sale this weekend. With Valentine’s Day being today, there are a decent amount of games on sale right now. We have Sega putting up a few of their titles on sale, a bunch of random games discounted, and even a few Ouya games on sale.
TreeFortress Games have brought their rather unique mash-up game called Bardbarian to Android. This game is a mash-up of Tower Defense, RPG and Bullet Hell shooter, at least that is how the developers are describing it. While the first two genres are definitely there, the Bullet Hell shooter part isn’t so much, but there is a similar style of mechanic in Bardbarian.
Hitman is a pretty popular franchise on the platforms it is on but the one platform it isn’t available for in any form is mobile. That, however, is about to change with the announcement of Hitman GO, a turn-based strategy game that will be heading to Android and iOS soon.
Originally designed back in 1977, The Power Game ended up selling 10 million copies worldwide. Fast forward to 2014 and Atom Split Games has ‘ported’ this strategy board game over to mobile so now you can play a game as challenging as a game like Chess but without having to learn all that comes with playing a game like Chess.
There are plenty of Tower Defense games available on Android already. Many of them are quite good, some of them suck, but most of them try to be a little different than what is already out there. Developers going by the name Insane Sheep have released a new game called Big Tower which they are banking on being unique enough to be the Tower Defense game of choice for fans of the genre.
In our earlier article about Supercell’s revenues for 2013 and this year as well, we mentioned that the company was gearing up to release a third game called Boom Beach. Interestingly enough the company is labeling this a ‘risky’ game as in they have made some choices that they deem as risky, eluding to the possibility that it may flop as a game if players don’t like these development choices.
Supercell security apparently breached by a hacker, company posts the leaked revenues anyways. Third game is also on the way.
Clash of Clans developers Supercell apparently had a hacker breach the company’s security, accessing corporate emails and business accounts, and then leaking this information online. Supercell has then turned around and posted the information anyways, announcing their 2013 revenues as well as up-to-date daily money coming into the company from their two games.
