The Wikipad Android gaming tablet that was supposed to be released this week has been delayed until further notice. For those of you who had been planning to go to your local GameStop and pick one of them up, you are going to have to wait a bit longer. The new came through a press release which details why the delay is happening.
On Halloween we started up a nice little giveaway where two people would win one of the two Nexus 7 16GB Tegra 3 Android tablets we were giving away. The two tablets, which were donated by nVidia (say thanks!), have had no owners and are all alone over at the nVidia offices. Zombie games of all shapes and sizes are a dime a dozen these days on the mobile gaming scene. One such new game vying for attention is Zombie Driver THD, which is actually a full-on console and PC port in terms of content. It is one thing to boast console quality content, and another to see if all this is wrapped in a mobile-friendly package. Does Zombie Driver THD make the cut in that respect?
The remake of the classic RPG Baldur’s Gate, which we’ve reported on since it hit up Kickstarter for funding, will be arriving a little sooner than expected, although it is still arriving later than the initial release date. Originally slated for a September 18th, 2012 release date, the developers eventually had to delay the game’s launch until November 30th, 2012. Now, Beamdog’s head man Trent Oster has confirmed that the game will actually be arriving on November 28th, 2012, two days early.
Over the Summer this year Hemisphere Games released a fairly big update to the iOS version of Osmos that brought plenty of new content to the game, especially since a lot of that content was related to a new game mode for Osmos and that was multiplayer. Now, after months of working on the Android version of the game, Osmos HD, it looks like multiplayer will be arriving in the near future for us Android gamers to enjoy.
It has been awhile since we last talked about this game and the fact that it was coming to Android. Now Ilot Benton has released our towel whipping hero in Towel Tim in Outer Space, or just Towel Tim for short. With nothing but a towel to defend yourself and your bare ass with, Towel Tim is set to take on his robotic enemies as he tried to figure out how to get his bare ass home.
There are no shortages of Kickstarter projects relating to gaming to try and fund, even if you break it down to mobile gaming. All of the usually have a good idea or a unique twist to them and Raylight definitely has a unique look to their puzzle game that they are trying to get funded called ‘illo – Birth of the Cool. Aside from the rather entertaining title, this puzzle game features quite the unique art style to it, having not really seen anything quite like this before.
Usually we don’t get to have advance notice on when the next Humble Bundle is going to be but it seems like there is a bit of an exception to the rule for the next one. This is all thanks to the developer of an iOS game called Walking Mars who has stated on his website that his game will be coming to Android, PC, Mac and Linux this month as part of the upcoming Humble Bundle for Android.
There seems to be a lot of announcements coming this week from game development companies and publisher over future gaming line-ups and releases heading our way soon. Today is no exception to that as DeNA/ngmoco has announced 10 new partners have come on board to release new games onto their social gaming platform called Mobage for Android and iOS.
If you haven’t had enough Angry Birds Star Wars videos to watch, whether it be the earlier promotional videos with scenes from the actual movies or the new gameplay videos Rovio has been releasing steadily, then you’re in luck as today Rovio has released yet another Angry Birds Star Wars video. This time we get to see Han Solo and Chewbacca in action. At this rate we won’t need to play the game because we will have seen everything in all the videos Rovio has been releasing.
