Craneballs Studios is known for their action games. Their most popular is probably the Overkill series, followed by the Gun Master series. Their latest release has taken them in a different direction. Splash Cars is all about painting the town… literally. You hop in your car, step on the gas, and let the colors fly. Who doesn’t love Gnomes? Aside from being an unusual character for a game, Qubic Games and Chillingo have chosen to create a side-scrolling platform game starring a Gnome. The game is colorful, varied in game play, and tough as nails. Guess what? I like it. Some games stray away from making games in the upper tier of difficulty. That is not the case with Geki Yaba Runner. It is tough, but it is rewarding. A jumping, bouncing and floating Gnome collecting socks, should not be ignored.
Last week FDG Entertainment released their gritty neo-noir sniper game called Lone Wolf onto iOS. This game is also slated for release onto Android and that is going to be happening in the very near future. This isn’t your typical sniper game and there will actually be a 17+ rating that comes with it. So it won’t be for young kids to play.
The band Imagine Dragons, which began their lives here in our hometown of Las Vegas, have released a new game featuring themselves in it called Stage Rush: Imagine Dragons. Developed by Zig Zag Zoom, this is an endless runner style of game where you will be controlling one of the band members that you choose.
Fedeen Games has begun teasing what will be a pretty big expansion for their MMORPG Forsaken World Mobile game. While the developers haven’t gone into deep detail about what will be arriving just yet, they do hint at what will be in the update including things like the new ‘Epic Dungeon’. It’s more like a massive world event really.
Kairosoft has released a new game in their ‘Story’ series of titles onto Android called Tennis Club Story. As you may be guessing from the game’s name, this particular title is themed around the world of Pro Tennis and sports clubs, where you’ll be helping decide which Tennis players may be making it to the big league.
Right now there is a fan suggestion to the LEGO company about a new set of LEGOs that would be themed around ustwo’s highly popular mobile game Monument Valley. This wouldn’t be the first time LEGO made a set based off of a video game, with one of the more recent ones being a series themed off of Minecraft.
GungHo Entertainment has pushed out an update for their popular Puzzle-RPG title Puzzle & Dragons which adds a whole new multiplayer mode to the game. With this new mode, two players can join forces to take on dungeons in a co-op style of multiplayer gameplay.
Fans of MMORPGs have a new game to look forward to on Android soon called Pocket Guild from indie developers Sad Herring. Unlike other MMORPGs though, this one is a single-player game. How does that work? Mainly by making this game basically an MMORPG simulator of sorts. All of the content you would find in an MMORPG is here, except you’re the only actual real live player in the game.
