Trion Worlds, developers of the RIFTS MMORPG for the PC, recently released quite the impressive little app for the game which allows users to do all sorts of cool stuff in-game including talking to friends and guild mates who are either in the game or using the app as well.

Little over a week ago we talked about how you can boost the graphics in Grand Theft Auto 3 in a few simple steps. Now we get to talk about modding the game to add new cars, building textures and other mods to really customize your version of Grand Theft Auto 3.
If you’ve been following the site over the past month or two you’ve probably notices the odd article here and there about DroidMote and some of the different uses for this handy set of apps in terms of playing games. Well we have another great example, this time using the new DroidMote analog stick feature to play games like Grand Theft Auto 3.
In our previous article last week about being able to use DroidMote to play OnLive games on your Android tablet while using your Android phone as a game controller, we mentioned that we were not sure if it would work for games that are not optimized yet with touch screen controls. Well thanks to one of our readers, we now know it does and you can see it in action after the break.
So far we have talked about playing Shadowgun using the DroidMote apps in conjunction with a tablet and phone, then the DroidMote getting Xperia Play support. Now this versitile little application can let you play OnLive games on an Android tablet while using your Android phone as a game controller.
Best Buy and Hooked Media have apparently teamed up to host an Android game developer contest called Get Discovered!. The contest is pretty simply really and apparently the only real work you will have to do is use the Hooked SDK in a new game of yours which will integrate Hooked Media’s new discovery platform with your game.
OnLive doesn’t officially support the Xperia Play controls, at least not yet but thanks to a new app on the Android Market there is some good news for Xperia Play owners who wish to use the controls that come with the device. This new app is called the OnLive Helper app.
We knew this day was coming for quite some time even seeing it already running on a Motorola Xoom back during E3 2011. OnLive’s gaming service is now fully available for Android devices which means, through the app, you will be able to stream console games right to your Android device.
The Battlefield 3 Battlelog service, which tracks your stats from the game, was slated to get a mobile app which would allow you to check out your stats while on the go. While still slated for release on iOS, EA has now thrown a ‘may’ into the mix instead of a sure thing when talking about the app coming to Android.
You may or may not have caught our article about how to play Shadowgun on an Asus Transformer while using an Android phone as a gamepad to play it. One of the items needed to accomplish this was a program called DroidMote which has a server and client app you need to install.
