[Google I/O 13] Google Play Developer Console gets a bevy of new features

Another big announcement at Google I/O 2013 this morning during the opening keynote was that the developer console now has a slew of new features for developers to take advantage of. While all of the new features are great, the biggest one has to be the ability to roll out beta versions of your game or application.

While beta roll out may not be something all application developers will use, it should certainly be utilized by a lot of game developers. The whole system is designed to not just allow beta versions but also for developers to get their updates out faster.

Other features that have been implemented into the Developer Console include Optimization Tips, App Translation Service, Usage Metrics & Referral Tracking, Revenue Graphics. On top of that, yesterday the ability to reply to comments was opened up to all publishing developers on the Google Play store.

This will probably not be the end of the announcements this week when it comes to gaming related news during Google I/O so expect more surprises soon.
