It has been a couple of weeks since we posted our last hidden gem and today we have a great little asteroid shooter called Alpha Wave by Hardline Studios. This game is a solid, fun shooter where you are in control of a little defense ship/turret with the job of protecting your planet.

int13 are the developers who are responsible for the bullet hell shooter that recently landed on Android called Shogun. Before that game though they had released an Augmented Reality game for Android called AR Defender. Well it looks like a sequel is coming soon to the market as well.
Another game shown off at MWC 2012 is from Khaeon Gamestudio, developers of Fight Game Heros for the Xperia Play and Fight Game: Rivals for Android, and is yet another brawler called The Reem. This particular fighting game features Alistair Overeem of MMA fame, hensce the game’s name ‘The Reem’.

Our friends over at the french mobile gaming site Pockett Videogames is always covering the news from the European events such as MWC 2012. This is one of those stories and it is about Com2US and their game which is currently in development called Crystal Hunter.
If you are unfamiliar with what Marble Arena 2 is, it is a game for Windows, Mac and Linux that was created and is maintained by a couple of developers. It is an impressive game visually and has plenty of gameplay to offer. Now you can use your Android device to control the game with the official Marble Arena 2 Controller.
Mech game fans are probably already familiar with the name SHADE Inc, developers of the great mech games Destroy Gunner and Destory Gunner: Iceburn. Well they have released a new game onto Android that, although has nothing to do with mechs, is pretty damn awesome in its own right called ColoQ.
Breaking away from the traditional seasonal updates revolving around holidays, Rovio has revealed on their Angry Birds twitter account that the next Angry Birds Seasons update will be Cherry Blossoms, another Asian themed episode.
One application we have been waiting for since CES 2012 is the Tegra 3 optimized version of Splashtop Remote Desktop. Appropriately named Splashtop THD, this is for Tegra 3 only devices and, if you remember our coverage of CES 2012, allowed us to play Skyrim on a Transformer Prime tablet.
Konami, who occasionally graces the Android Market with games, has released another title onto the market which is a retro-style RPG called Ash. Apparently this particular game has done quite well for itself over on iOS and Konami has decided to bring it to Android as well.
