You have to love this time of year, especially around this weekend as that is when all these sales happen whether it is just for Labor Day weekend or for longer to celebrate the end of summer. Whether this is Google planning a sale or just happens to be a group effort, either way we benefit with some great deals.
This weekend is the Labor Day weekend and to follow the tradition of past years, game developers are putting their goods on sale for the weekend and Gameloft is no exception. While they are only putting up three games on sale for the weekend, they happen to be some pretty big names.
We have been saying for awhile now that worldwide Android gamers could use some serious bullet hell shooters to play and we have gotten the odd one here and there. However, today two of the bigger names in bullet hell shooters have arrived on Google Play for worldwide players, meaning it has been translated into English!
Last week we began talking about Glu Mobile’s upcoming sequel to their Blood & Glory game called Blood & Glory: Legend which brings with it more hacking and slashing goodness. We last night the game made its way to Google Play for you to get that bloody violence fix you’ve been craving.
A game that seems to have been in eternal beta status has now gone onto Kickstarter to gain additional funding so that they can finish the game with more features. While the game is currently in a playable beta, there is plenty of work that still needs to be done and the funding is going to bring the team who is working on the game on as full time staff.
A new game has arrived on the Google Play store that is part of an entire campaign by ‘truth’ which, if you want TV at all, have probably seen those commercial about how bad smoking is and so on, generally ending with a picture of the truth logo. The commercials generally try to be unique and somehow interesting while portraying that smoking is bad. Unfortunately, putting out a crappy game isn’t a good way to continue your campaign.
So here’s the back story: A heartless thief has stolen an old grandmother’s beloved green apples off her apple tree, and ol’ granny ain’t gonna sit there crying. Instead, she digs out her skates (probably from 50 years ago), dusts them off and sets off to nab the thief, and get what’s rightfully hers back.
A couple of weeks ago we talked about HyperDevBox and their upcoming sequel to their massive Spectral Souls JRPG title which would be arriving soon. After watching the development video, the game looked pretty promising. Now, only a couple of weeks later, Blazing Souls Accelate is available on the Google Play store.
One game a lot of people have been waiting for, longer than expected after about a week and a half delay, is Phosphor Games’ newest title Horn. Published by Zynga under their Partner Program, Horn is a third-person action adventure game with plenty of eye candy to take in while you kill rather large monsters.
In this ever growing Android market, it has become a usual thing to see iOS developers coming to our beloved environment. It’s to no surprise that ultimately they’ve all wanted a piece of that huge and delicious Android cake. Now, the time has come for zGames, a development studio that was first spotted with apps like Talking Cookies Kid or “Charlie Bit Me!!!” under the name of Viral Spiral Group. Today, zGames s coming with a little gem called Red Weed, and based upon Jeff Wayne’s award-winning Musical Version of The War of the Worlds.
