Everybody at Team DG knows that I am a fan of runners and platforming games. One of the best games to be released over the last couple of years was Vector. It had excellent graphics, perfect controls and plenty of levels to beat. When I interviewed Nekki last year, they were hard at work on Vector 2. If you didn’t know it already, Vector 2 is live in the Google Play Store. Don’t worry, Nekki hasn’t forgotten about you Shadow Fight fans. Hopefully Shadow Fight 3 will be released this year too. In the meantime, why not play one of the best parkour games available for Android.

Mekorama is a remarkable puzzle game that has been released for Android. It is unusual that a game is released on the weekend, but this one would be welcome anytime it hit the Play Store. Martin Magni, the creator of Odd Bot Out has released his latest title for Android and iOS. It is labeled as a Diorama puzzle game and it is free to play too. Rayark Games continues to slowly release new information about their upcoming strategic action game Soul of Eden. A few months ago we were given a few character renderings, and a thirty second conceptual video showing some of the gameplay. Today, Rayark has released a new trailer showing off the in-game units and revealed more gameplay. Our thoughts after watching the trailer… summer seems much too far away, but the game is coming soon.
Hutch Games has had successful entries in the Play Store with the different driving/racing games that they have produced. If you have played Smash Cops Heat, Smash Cops Bandit or MMX Racing, then you know what I am talking about. Their latest game, which is soon to be released, is MMX Hill Climb. It takes what was great about MMX Racing and ratchets it up a notch.
Spry Fox has released some popular games for Android. I am sure you are familiar with the cute little bears that were the main focus of Alphabear and Triple Town. Spry Fox has even tackled strategy games with Steambirds, which is a classic and a favorite of mine. Their latest game takes those cute little bears from Alphabears, and throws them into an arena to take down tough enemies in Bushido Bear.

In other VR news today, word on the virtual street is that Google may be gearing up to release an Android-powered Virtual Reality headset of their own at next week’s Google I/O 2016. This wouldn’t be a massive surprise or anything if it actually came to pass, since this is the next logical step from Google Cardboard in the world of VR headset evolution. This is especially true with yesterday’s news that there is over a million active Gear VR users.
Fans of the Hitman series, or more specifically Hitman GO, who also own a Samsung Gear VR headset now have a chance to jump right into the game a lot more with the newly released Hitman GO VR game. If you’ve played the original version on your Android device, than you’re be right at home with this version, except for the fact that you’ll literally be right in the game.
