Activision has released a sequel to Wipeout onto Android today. Appropriately named Wipeout 2, this new sequel features plenty of big balls for everyone to play with. Well to be honest there is more to this sequel than balls.

Activision’s non Call of Duty mega-franchise, Skylanders, is coming to Android tablets with a full retail release of the Skylanders: Trap Team Starter Pack being made for the mobile platform. This version is said by developer Toys for Bob to be “pixel for pixel the same” as the Xbox 360 Version.
Back in February we talked about Activision and their announcement of a new Tony Hawk skateboarding game that would be made available only to mobile gamers. At the time of the announcement, there were not a whole lot of details released about this new game including any sort of official name for it. Well now we know what they name will be as well as some additional details.
Well here is something you don’t hear about often when it comes to console and PC game franchises. Apparently Activision will be releasing their upcoming Tony Hawk game exclusively onto mobile devices only. This will be the first time for the franchise to go in an exclusive route with mobile, leaving behind consoles and PC gamers.
Activision has released another companion app for their Call Of Duty franchise but this time it is for the new Call of Duty: Ghosts game that was recently launched. This particular companion app actually has a lot to offer and plenty of future potential for more features to be added which Activision has stated they are already working on.
Activision has decided to come out of left field and release a Call of Duty game onto Android called Call of Duty: Strike Team. This particular game is a blend of first-person and third-person squad-based tactical gameplay where you’ll be controlling your squad of soldiers, positioning them in strategic places before switching to a first-person perspective and laying out a few clips of ammo onto your enemies.
We’ve already talked about one Skylanders game that was supposed to come to Android back during E3 2012 but for whatever reason never actually made it to mobile. However Activision has rectified this problem by releasing another Skylanders game instead called Skylanders: Cloud Patrol.
Activision and ABC TV have teamed up to bring the rather popular TV show Wipeout to Android but in the format of a game you can play. Featuring some hefty balls that you can play with, fans of the show will now be able to try and tackle all the obstacles from the show but on your Android device instead.
Playing Pitfall, the 30th anniversary remake of the early Atari favorite (I can still hear that music that plays when you successfully jump over a pit of crocodiles) made me actually smile. So many of the games I have recently reviewed for this site have forgotten to be simple and fun.
Activision has brought back a game that many people loved to play back in the day on their Atari 2600 console systems and that game is Pitfall!. However, this new release of Pitfall! is actually a re-imagined version and instead of swinging over gaps in the ground, finding treasure and inevitably dieing a lot, this version is a 3D endless runner.
