Hiversaires by Devine Lu Linvega is a rather interesting point-and-click adventure game that hit the Google Play store last night. This particular game has a rather short and sweet description on Google Play but gives enough information that you should know what you’re getting into ahead of time to some degree.
Replay Games have announced that their upcoming Leisure Suit Larry game called Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded will be hopefully arriving for PC and Mac on May 31st. The company also stated that the iOS and Android versions of the game would be arriving shortly after the PC/Mac launch but did not mention a specific date as to when the game would be released.
It’s time for another round-up of sales going on right now as another week draws to a close. While the list isn’t as big as last week’s, there are definitely some good games currently on sale and at a pretty good discount as well. You’ll definitely want to probably snag at least one or two of these games.
A new horror survival game wrapped up in 8-bit retro graphic goodness called Catequesis will be heading to Android and iOS this upcoming Fall. Developed by a little indie group of game developers Survival Horror Story: Catequesis, as the game is officially called, is about meeting your girlfriend’s parents but as you may be guessing, it isn’t a pleasant experience at all.
The most recent Humble Bundle is about half way through its sale time and just like when it always hits the mid-way mark for the allotted time each bundle is on sale, a few more games have been added to the list. This brings the total amount of games available for the Humble Bundle to nine in total if you opt into paying more than the average price people are paying at the time of you purchasing your bundle.
For those of you who have been fans of the perverted little man known as Leisure Suit Larry over the past couple of decades and who have been looking forward to the upcoming Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards HD remake, it looks like the wait may finally be drawing closer to an end. Originally slated for release in 2012 after a rather successful Kickstarter campaign, the game’s release was eventually delayed until 2013.
Yesterday is a new point-and-click, click-to-move or click-and-hold-and-select adventure game (whatever the kids say these days) by Pendulo Studios that has been out for a while but is new to me. It instantly felt like a newer adventure game, a genre that many gamers remember only from the late 80s or 90s. I have really enjoyed watching the mobile market work hand-in-hand with the point-and-click adventure world and hope to see more blockbusters like Yesterday come out. The game might be short-ish, only spanning several hours (or several days if you play at the glacial pace I do) but it packs in almost too many details and intense moments.
For those of you familiar with Double Fine’s upcoming game that had a very successful Kickstarter campaign, it was originally called Double Fine’s Adventure. It has been officially renamed to Double Fine’s Broken Age and now we have a first trailer available to watch. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, this will mostly be a point-and-click adventure game that features two stories that co-exist and intertwine with each other.
