If you’ve never been convinced to use the Amazon app store on your device, then one of Amazon’s seemingly monthly app giveaways should at least nudge you to take a peek. Following up on previous deals that saw gamers getting a free copy of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and many other titles, this one is actually pretty decent.

You’ve probably read our coverage on the new free DLC that ustwo has released today for Monument Valley, which is great if you actually own the game. However, if you don’t have this game, but have been wanting to get it, then today might be the day you pick it up as it is free on Amazon’s Appstore as their Free App of the Day.
Released by BadJokes, Fast Slide is a simple (yet challenging) puzzle game. The point of the game, is for players to be able to trace out a path for “Charlie” (the green smiley face) to follow, around various obstacles, ending at the red target. The path must be drawn successfully in under ten seconds.
After being banned from Google Play to make way for the official release of Doom on Android, Beloko’s emulator for players who want to port over their own copies of Doom has now arrived in the Amazon Appstore. What Beloko does is “specialize in creating high-quality usable ports with exceptional Touch Screen and Gamepad support”, according to the dev.
Amazon’s Free App of the Day today is actually a decent game called Earn To Die from developer Not Doppler. This is the original game in the franchise, with the sequel having been released onto Google Play back in May of this year. So if you picked up Earn To Die 2 when it was released, since it is free, but never played the original, now you can snag it for free as well today.
Originally announced back during CES 2015, Snail Games unveiled two gaming focused Android devices during that show, the OBox Android game console and the W3D Android gaming phone. We went hands-on with both of those and found that both were quite good for gaming. Today it appears the wait is finally over as Snail Games has announced that pre-orders are now available for the W3D.
Amazon has made a move to bring a bit more gaming power to their Amazon Fire TV set-top box. In an announcement today, Amazon has brought GameFly’s streaming service to their set-top box in an attempt to offer owners, and future owners, more gaming possibilities with Amazon Fire TV. The service itself hasn’t fully launched onto all platforms and all regions yet, which is interesting since it is now available for Amazon’s Fire TV.
[Update: Game Released] New Puzzle Platformer Looking for Laika launches onto Amazon’s Appstore today
Looking for Laika is a new puzzle platformer that has arrived for Android today, currently available only on Amazon’s Appstore. The game itself actually has a rather cool minimalistic look to it visually and the gameplay is that of a side-scrolling platformer but with a more unique method of controlling your character.
Back in October 2014 we reported on Amazon Game Studio announcing three games that would be heading our way soon. One of those games is called Till Morning’s Light, which was developed by WayForward, and after a somewhat lengthy wait, it is now available for Amazon Fire devices over on Amazon’s Appstore.
It is time for another Android game sale round-up for the end of this week. We are doing it today instead of our usual Friday round-up since we have already talked a lot this week about sales, so we wanted to wait till the very end of this week to make sure we get all the good games into this list this week.
