Speaking of quiet releases such as Deadly Chambers by Battery Powered Games, Com2Us also quietly released a new mech 3D FPS game onto the Android market called Heavy Gunner. This game comes complete with some crazy 3D graphics and a ton of weapons for you to use as you blast aliens to bit while they come at you.

The folks over at Battery Powered Games quietly released a 3D OTS (over-the-shoulder) shooter game called Deadly Chambers last night in beta form for public testing. This game supports only OpenGL ES 2.0 and comes complete with multitouch. If you buy the game now, you’ll get the full version for a reduced price to help with beta testing!
Obviously we don’t know about every game that will end up on the Android market this summer but we do know about a few already that are slated for a summer release. Out of the list we have, there are a few that look to be great in quality and gameplay. Some we’ve talked about already and others we are just learning about now.
It seems Google is still pushing forward to show their commitment to games and gaming on Android. First it was hiring a Game Developer Advocate for Android, then the purchase of LabPixies and now it is a job posting for a Product Management Leader For Games. This job is for a Google position and not completely dedicated to Android, although I’m sure it’ll be a large part of the job.
Tux Rider – Android Edition, developed by Drodin, is a port of the popular linux game Tux Rider 3D. All you Tux the Penguin fans can now race down ski slopes, collecting fish, getting air and earning points while on your belly like a true penguin does. This game features great 3D graphics, fast paced action and like all things linux, is open source!
Space Challenge 3D, developed by Osaris Games, is a racing style game where you navigate your space ship, using the accelerometer, through different 3D levels within a certain amount of time using the accelerometer. Each ship that you can choose from has their pros and cons about them and there s no shortage of replay value for this game either.
I don’t think I’ve seen this type of game available for Android just yet, I could be wrong though. Winds of Steel is a 3D war game where you are a pilot running missions in certain time periods in history. There is everything from dogfights to bombing missions and a blend of both as well as special moves you can do while flying to dodge getting shot down.
Droidkoban, by developer Leihwelt, is a new 3D Puzzle game featuring our beloved little Android as he moves through various stages moving boxes to where they need to go in order to proceed to the next stage. All the graphics are done using OpenGL ES technology and game play is done via the trackball.
The Vacuum competition being held by Door-6 will be starting in 2 days so we thought what a perfect time to interview our friend, Jeremy Shafton CEO of Door-6. If you haven’t heard about the competition, this is the first one to be held with cash prizes on the Android platform with the top prize being $500.
ShiVa3D by Stonetrip is a 3D gaming engine that has been used on pc and console based games for awhile now as well as used by many popular iPhone games. Stonetrip just announced they have included Android support with their Android Authorizing Tool which has just been released in it’s beta phase.
