Acquire, the Tokyo-based game development studio behind the Way of The Samurai and Tenchu series, has announced their newest game today which will be heading to Android in just over a week’s time. The new game is called Fort Raiders Smaaash! and it is a new combat strategy type of game.

You may not have heard of a company called Yezz and that’s probably because they are kind of a small company lurking in the shadows of the mobile industry, at least here in the United States. They are a bit more well-known over in Europe. The company deals with producing phones and tablets for Android, Windows, and Firefox. Since they are already in the hardware business, Yezz has announced that they will start developing and producing modules for Google’s Project Ara.
Amazon has bundled up past Android applications and games that have at one point been on the company’s Free App of the Day feature. In total the bundle has over $140 worth of free apps and games for you to sift through and download the ones you want… or all of them just because you can.
In terms of brand cross-overs, franchises like Angry Birds and Puzzle & Dragons tend to do a lot of them. Com2Us has announced that they will be updating their Summoners War title on Android with a major content update which will include a new Guild Battle feature. This is part of Com2Us celebrating the game’s newest achievement – surpassing 30 million downloads.
Bubbliminate is a strategy game for two to eight players, or against the AI, that was originally created by Joel Becker when he was in high school,and who’s now the founder of Voxoid LLC. The idea of the game is that players control colored bubbles (each color represents a different player, so mine would be all yellow, and yours might be all blue, etc), and try to eliminate all the bubbles of the other players.
2K Games has pushed out a new update today for their wrestling themed collectible card game called WWE SuperCard. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, this is literally a card battle game that features the Superstars, Divas and Legends from the world of WWE. When we say literal, we mean the cards literally fight each other.
I remember the first time I heard that Mario was more recognizable to children than Jesus. It was a massive revelation. A figure who spent all day eating mushrooms and jumping on turtles was more familiar to kids than someone considered by some of their parents to be the savior of mankind.
