While Gamevil has released their idea of a head-to-head fighting game which is similar to titles like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat as of yesterday, WeMade Entertainment has had a little gem of a brawler on Google Play for almost a month which has slipped past us until now. Touch Fighter is a pure head-to-head brawler with a simple three button system that allows you to beat the crap out of your opponents.
Dark Summoner, by Ateam inc, is a very odd game. I’ve played similar games before and have even enjoyed them, but this particular one seems so eager to convince you that hitting a few buttons for a few minutes at a time is somehow fun, immersive or challenging. OK, I should say that pushing only a few buttons occasionally can be fun thanks to social, casual and turn-based gaming, but Dark Summoner is so packed with flashy images and confusing UI elements that I felt like I was stuck in Vegas on a repeating loop.
We mentioned in our previous article that Kairosoft had released two new games onto Google Play for folks living in Japan and the second one is called Your Dream House. At least that is what it translates into and could easily be called something else when it launches for English players worldwide.
A rather popular crane simulation game called The Little Crane That Could is heading for OUYA. The developer, Abraham Stolk, has announce that he will be making an official version of the game for the upcoming Android-based game console OUYA and it should be available right when OUYA launches publicly in March 2013.
Disney just finished holding their press event this afternoon where they have officially announced something they have been hinting at for the past few month: Disney Infinity. This is a rather huge project from Disney that is going to be a massive cross-platform sandbox gaming platform that breaks past the barriers of digital platforms and invades toys as well. Think Skylanders but on a much more massive and interactive, ever expanding scale.
Well it looks like we have a couple of Kairosoft games heading our way in the very near future and the first one we are going to talk about is called Stakes Ranch G1. The name actually roughly translates from Japanese to English as Stakes G1 Ranch but we’ve taken the liberty of switching the name around a bit to make it actually sound like a title that makes sense.
For those of you who don’t own enough zombie games already you will be happy to know there is another one now available on Google Play called In Darkness. Developed by SimpleGamesStudio, this new zombie game is set in a first-person perspective but it isn’t just about mowing down as many zombies as you can.
Square Enix has put up a teaser site for an upcoming RPG title that could be arriving on Android on January 17th which is this Thursday. It could also be for an iOS game release, or both, but we really don’t know. It could be for one of the Final Fantasy games Square Enix recently teased would be heading our way soon or it could be something completely different.
Every time we near a Minecraft: Pocket Edition update we tend to see more news rolling out via Twitter and the developers on there that happen to be working on the game. Just as we posted yesterday about what we know is confirmed for the next 0.5.1 update, more details came to light right after that. So let’s recap what we now know including new details regarding the next Minecraft: Pocket Edition update.
Who doesn’t love a good DIY project that you can undertake with little more than old stuff you might have laying around the house? For those of you who have been mobile gaming since the days of the original Game Boy and now have jumped to Android in this more recent era, this little project might be right up your alley if you still have that old Game Boy sitting around the house.
