Amazon has a couple of games available for free today that you might want to pick up when you get a minute. Actually scratch that, you’ll want to pick either, or both, of these games up if you have access to Amazon’s AppStore. While the main one we are talking about is Double Fine Production’s The Cave, the challenging puzzle game Cogs from Lazy 8 Studios is also available for free as Amazon’s free game of the day.

Kemco has put out a fair number of retro style RPGs since their debut on Android and now to celebrate the upcoming Christmas holidays, the company has decided to put 23 of their games on sale for $0.99. This includes 23 games on Google Play as well as eight of them that also happen to be available on Amazon’s AppStore.
10Tons has dropped the prices on select games on both Amazon’s AppStore and Google Play till December 3rd, 2013. In total there are eight games on sale between the two sites so you should be able to find something you like regardless of what device you have or marketplace you prefer to use.
Amazon has already offered up a bunch of games on sale to celebrate today being Halloween. Apparently that wasn’t enough and so Amazon has put together a bundle of games that are all themed around zombies and are offering them all up as Amazon’s free app/game of the day.
Amazon seems be getting into the holiday spirit of Halloween and in order to celebrate the upcoming candy-filled monster parade that will be October 31st, 2013 Amazon has started a rather large sale on a big selection of games for their Kindle Fire tablet as well as any other Android phone or tablet that has access to the Amazon AppStore.
A couple of days ago news broke that Amazon was possibly getting into the Android-powered console with a unit of their own that is apparently in development right now and could see its release by the end of this year. While this news is filed under the ‘Rumors’ category of news, it does make sense that Amazon would do this considering they tend to mimic whatever the current hot trend is with Android.
Amazon has announced a new expansion plan that doesn’t involve expanding their service to new countries but instead expanding their catalog of apps and games available through their app store. However these won’t be coming in the typical fashion everyone is used to and that is because these will be web applications made using languages like HTML5.
A couple of weeks ago we talked about a shoot ’em up arcade game called Sine Mora that was confirmed to be heading to Android in the next couple of weeks. Well it seems as though the waiting is over and Sine Mora is now available for Android. However, there is one small catch, and that is Sine Mora is currently only available on Amazon’s App Store.
Warner Bros. is holding a bit of a Summer sale starting today on their games. While iOS will see more of a sale than Android will, mainly because there are more Warner Bros games on that platform, Android isn’t being left out in the dark either. Both Batman: Arkham City Lockdown and Man of Steel have gone on sale for only $0.99 for a limited time.
It was not too long ago that Amazon went after the whole centralized game hub idea for things like leaderboards and achievements. Similar to the newly released Google Play Games service in some ways, Amazon’s GameCircle doesn’t have all the features that Google’s service provides and until now the GameCircle service was completely limited to Amazon devices only and games purchased through Amazon’s AppStore.
