One of the early popular games for the Ouya console was Towerfall, a local multiplayer game where up to four people try to kill each other round after round. A new game that landed on Ouya yesterday brings us similar mechanics but this time with squacky little ducks and is appropriately named Duck Game.

With devices nowadays becoming more and more powerful, good platformer games are harder to come by. Platformer games in the mobile segment often offer too little to get gamers hooked. It is understandable as fully-rendered 3D adventure games often offer more customization and content altogether thus increasing expectations, even for 2D platformers. Swordigo is a mobile platformer that does not fall into the same pit that most games of this genre do. The guys over at Touch Foo outdid themselves on this one as Swordigo follows the side-scrolling genre while implementing the same elements of surprise and puzzle solving reminiscent of classic platformers like the Mega Man and Tomba! series.
Sega’s current hit in Japan called Dragon Coins has now been released globally on Android for gamers located everywhere else. This new game is a monster collecting game but it doesn’t fall into the TCG genre but instead uses a coin dropping mechanic for the combat. By coin dropping we mean those games that have a moving tray and the coins drop once they are pushed over the edge of the platform.
Gamenautsn has released their newest title onto Android today called King’s League: Odyssey, marking this their second release on Android in total. This new game is a team versus team style of game, although each team is managed by a single player. You’ll be recruiting different unit types to create your army before heading off into battle against another team.

Canabalt creator’s ‘Flappy’ version of their game, called Flappybalt, now available on Google Play
Since the release and subsequent pulling of Flappy Birds off of Google Play, there have been a plethora of clones and spin-offs of the original game. We mean there is a LOT of them. The creator of Canabalt was a part of the recent Flappy Jam and took his Canabalt game a meshed it with the idea behind Flappy Bird to create Flappybalt.
