Foursaken Media surprised us today with a nice little email to let us know about their latest project in development, Phantom Rift. Foursaken Media already has excellent titles in the Google Play Store. We recently reviewed Heroes and Castles and Bug Heroes 2 arrived in the Play Store shortly thereafter. The team of four brothers has a penchant for creating uncommon game worlds that are fascinating and fun to play.

Marvel Comics announced at this year’s SD Comic Con (in an interview with Marvel.com) that they’re going to be releasing an upcoming game called Contest of Champions. The actual game development is being done by Kabam, who have released other games like The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth, Fast & Furious 6: The Game, Castle Age HD, and more.
DIY projects are always cool because you not only get to check out what other people do when feeling particularly creative at any given time, but generally also get to learn how it is done and possibly even do it yourself. Technically we don’t really get to learn how to make this custom arcade cabinet for 4-players that also happens to be powered by an Ouya game console from Burd Bros Custom Arcade. But with the right parts and a little planning, you could take on trying to build one of these yourself.
I’m sure some of you may be puzzled by this… I was. Batman: Arkham Origins showed up in the Play Store a few weeks ago. However, it said that it wasn’t compatible with my devices. I was kind of bummed out by this because I finally have devices that can run it graphically. So, like I do with most games that I want to play that may be in a soft launch or have exclusivity with a particular device, I added it to my wish list.
King of Fighters 98: Dream Match Never Ends was a 2D fighting game release in (surprise!) 1998 by SNK. Originally released on the Neo Geo, it later was ported to the PlayStation as well as the Dreamcast. What makes this fighting game unique is that it contains all the fighters from releases that came prior to this one, including those that had died in their story arc (which was rebooted with the subsequent release).
The Android rendition of Injustice: Gods Among US received a large (in scale) update adding online multiplayer among other enhancements. The addition of multiplayer on its own makes this game a lot better in some ways, giving it much more replay value.
Trine 2: Complete Story is now available for $13.95 on the Google Play Store. However it is only compatible with Tegra K1 Android devices, which is so far only the Xiaomi Mi Pad 7.9 Tablet, but that will change in one week when the Shield Tablet is released. Trine 2 has been featured on many platforms in the past. Besides its initial release on PC, it has been on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Yesterday we reported on Nvidia’s upcoming Shield Tablet and the massive leak that basically unofficially announced the new device along with pricing, hardware specs and pretty much everything else related to it. Today is the official announcement from Nvidia themselves along with all the details, pricing and launch date information as well.
Retaliate is a simple space shooter game, a la Galaga. Your ship is locked to the bottom of the screen, and the hostile alien ships attack you from above. The graphics are simple and low end, similar to other classic arcade games.
Phenomenally gifted is one way to describe Edson Arantes do Nascimento, also known as Pelé. After watching fifteen minutes of a documentary covering his dribbling, passing and scoring skills, I was amazed. Football’s (soccer) most well renowned player has arrived in the Play Store. Pelé: King of Football is the first game from mobile application design and development group Cosi Productions, based in New York. If you have enjoyed games like Flick Soccer! by Full Fat Games, you will definitely want to download this game. It is enjoyable and has plenty to offer.
