Welcome to the seventh installment of our Under The Radar column where we showcase a handful of good games that we may not have been able to publish as full articles on the site. Ultimately, with this, smaller developers get vital exposure for their games and you get to have more games to play on your plate. Last week the finalists were selected for Kill Screen’s CREATE game competition for the upcoming Android-powered console OUYA. The finalists were all pretty strong in all the categories including the one for the grand prize. Now the winners have been selected for each category and here are the results.
A few days ago we talked about a top-down shooter that was once really popular for the Amiga back in the day. Recently, the game got redone and was made available for anyone who had a Playstation Certified device and Playstation Mobile. Now, Alien Breed is available for everyone on the Google Play store.
While fans of Bruce Willis will be flocking to theaters today to see his newest movie that has just arrived called A Good Day To Die Hard, Fox Entertainment has released a companion game for the movie onto Google Play simply called Die Hard. This particular game is a rather strange mash-up up endless runner and third-person shooter, all wrapped into one title.

So far we have reported on Herocraft who has put up three games for sale for $0.99. A rather neat looking free running platformer has arrived on Android called Grudger. Developer by Noble Muffins, Grudger puts players in charge of the main character who’s name is Grudger. However, Grudger’s job is a bit more on the shady side of things, delivering goods to the morally ambiguous people he called customers.
Last week we reported on Zen Studios who are the developers of Zen Pinball HD which is one of the two great pinball platforms available for Android on Google Play. They had announced a new series of pinball tables that would be heading our way that isn’t related to Marvel and is instead themed around a different universe, that being the Star Wars universe.
An endless jumping game called Flying Boy that was release last month has received a new update that brings with it a new Daily Mission feature. Developed by a two-person team going by the name of Cucumber, Flying Boy is a Mega Jump style of game where you control a small boy who wants to keep jumping to see how high he can get.
The 10-day developer challenge from Kill Screen called OUYA CREATE has come to a close with 22 games in total being selected as finalists in a variety of categories, all of which have rather interesting names. Some of these games are pretty solid and we’ve even talked about a couple of them recently including Whispering Willows, a horror-themed adventure puzzle game that will also be coming to Android.
Well the squirrel today looks at two totally different games but both packed with a lot to do and accomplish. These games will keep you busy for hours. So read on and if you don’t have either of these games you might want to pick either one or both up.
