Ducktales, the classic NES and Gameboy games from Capcom from that was based on the Disney cartoon, was Remastered a few years back, for console systems current at the time, as well as mobile operating systems such as Android. Given the quality of the game, it’s not difficult to see why Disney and Capcom would be asking $9.99 for the game, nor that the original releases saw a million sales each. Fortunately, it’s now on sale for only $0.99.
In an interesting partnership between MMO giant Nexon and Capcom, both companies are working to bring Street Fighter IV Arena to Android. This will be the first exclusively mobile Street Fighter title in the franchise. In fact the game has come along quite nicely as it is already in beta testing phase over in Korea.
Interesting news in a more business orientated fashion as Sega has announced that they are heading up a new initiative to help cross-promote other Japanese mobile game developers. Capcom apparently has plans to bring their Mega Man themed social game Rockman Xover over to Android devices at some point in the relatively near future. On top of that the company is holding a contest for people to design a boss and the winner will then have his or her boss included into the game.
This type of news seems to be following a pattern this week unfortunately in regards to Capcom and recent game releases. Yesterday they launched Resident Evil 4 onto the Google Play store but it appears it is only for residents of Japan. This is the same game we talked about last year that was exclusive to LG devices in South Korea.
Oh Capcom, what are we ever going to do with you and you’re weird sense of priority when it comes to releasing games but for only one country. Capcom has been a bit busy lately and are starting the new year off strong with another game release. This time it is a title from the Monster Hunter series of games called Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting.
