How about some more news regarding the upcoming cross-platform MMORPG called World of Midgard. World of Midgard is a 3D MMORPG for Android that has been in development for awhile now by Veraxon Entertainment. It will be cross-platform compatible with iOS as well so you’ll be playing with other player on other platforms when the game is actually released. However, you can always try to get in to the closed beta!
Our friends over at Battery Powered Games have been hard at work with a new project we thought would end up being another game. However, as it turns out, it isn’t a game at all but an entire development framework for cross-platform game development. Called BatteryTech, it is available for indies developers and bigger studios as well.

Be prepared for a war, a good kind of war, a nice cartoon styled battle, filled to the brim with lots of fun bubbly goodness. In this game you’re going to be packing some serious heat, as it contains some of the biggest boy’s toy’s ever. No offense ladies.
Guerrilla Bob is a top-down 3D shoot-em-up game that spans across multiple platforms and offers up some great co-op multiplayer gaming action. We saw this at GDC 2011 on the Xperia Play demo units and fiddle around with it and it really is a fun game. Now it is officially out on the Android Market for you to grab.
You may not have heard of MocoSpace but they have been around since before Zynga making HTML 5 social games that are cross-platform compatible. They don’t even release their mobile games onto any mobile marketplaces but due to their success, specifically with Stage Hero, MocoSpace plans to double their releases.
One of the two main cross-platform social gaming platforms has received a pretty big update. After listening to developers and user feedback, Scoreloop has released version 2.0 of their SDK. Developers can now add even more features to their games and users have a lot more options available to play around with.
Well here’s a good sign that mobile gaming is being taken seriously and Android is included in all of it: Electrotank has just announced their new Electroserver ES5, which is built to support mutliplayer games played across Flash, Unity3D, iOS and Android. The new APIs allow for multiple user connections from multiple platforms simultaneously.
Google obviously hasn’t slowed down in the least when it comes to gaming especially in the social arena even with Mark Deloura leaving last week. Google has confirmed another purchase, this time it is SocialDeck. SocialDesk is a Canadian based social gaming company which is still basically a start-up but apparently they have something that Google wanted.
We here at DroidGamers had been hinting about something coming up shortly after the first Android Gaming Challenge. Well the wait is over and I’m proud to announce another first not just for Android but for mobile gaming in general. What is it? It is the first ever cross-platform real-time multiplayer tournament and we have teamed up with SGN to bring this to life!
