Today is no exception to that rule as we’ve teamed up with Crytek to offer a rather unique in-game item for their upcoming The Collectables game.

Crytek and DeNA are teaming up to bring a squad-based tactical game to Android called The Collectables. Since Crytek is involved, this game will be made using the company’s Cryengine game development platform which is known for its rather high quality 3D visuals. This means The Collectables should have some pretty impressive graphics to enjoy while playing the game.
Back in September we reported on two games that would be coming from Crytek to Android. One was Skylanders Cloud Patrol which was released in conjunction with Activision. The second game was called Fibble – Flick n’ Roll which happens to have been published by Crytek themselves quietly onto the Amazon AppStore back in mid-September quietly.
We aren’t even 24 hours past the media event that Amazon held where they announced a range of devices from a new eReader to a line of Kindle Fire HD tablets. Now we have two more companies adding support for the new Kindle Fire tablets. Both Activision and Crytek have announced games for all of the new Kindle Fire devices, Skylander Cloud Patrol and Fibble Flick n’ Roll.
Interesting little bit of news coming from Crytek regarding tablets and next gen consoles. It seems that Crytek holds the belief that if next gen consoles don’t come out soon, that tablets could very well surpass consoles in terms of being the first device people reach for when wanting to play games.
Rumors have been rolling around for some time that Crytek would be getting into the mobile gaming field and now we have confirmation of this thanks to a press release from Crytek announcing their first game, Fibble – Flick N Roll.
We knew Crytek had their eyes on the mobile gaming arena for some time now thanks to previous job postings for Android and mobile developers as well as some leaks. Now we have a much better idea of at least one thing they are working on and it is called GFACE.
Just two days ago we announced that Unreal Engine is now supporting Flash 11 officially. While this already is some great news, CryTek has now come out to make sure that if you aren’t excited over that then perhaps you will be once you hear that they are investigating supporting Flash with CryEngine 3 as well.
Crytek, developers of games such as Crysis, have come out to give their opinion about the mobile gaming industry and that they will not be making games for the new PS Vita anytime soon. Why is that? Because of mobile platforms like iOS and Android being where the mobile gamers are going.
