Google I/O Day 2 Chan. 2 live stream is live. Coming up: Project Tango, designing for Virtual Reality and more

Google has three channels of live streams for Google I/O 2015. Each one has its own schedule for keynotes and sessions, all of which focus on different areas. All three channels went live at 9am PST and channel 2 is starting off with “Smarter user acquisition with App Indexing, AdWords and Google Analytics” and will then be followed-up with Project Tango, Designing for Virtual Reality and some other great sessions.

NVIDIA’s Shield for Android TV has finally officially launched

As most of our readers are already aware, yesterday was the first day for Google’s annual developer conference. While many cool and exciting features were previewed for the upcoming “M” release, there were very few announcements that would impact gaming, save for the new version of Cardboard and for the new Shield set top box. According to NVidia, the new Shield unit will work for cord-cutters, viewing the web on a TV set, or gaming.

The Android 5.1 OTA update for Nvidia Shield Tablet owners has finally arrived

The other day when Nvidia finally admitted to the 500GB model of the Nvidia Shield Android TV console actually existing and being real for consumers to purchase soon, one other tidbit of information was revealed as well. This was that the Android 5.1 update for the Shield tablet would be arriving soon, before the launch of the Shield console unit. Well it appears that ‘soon’ has turned out to be today.

10 PC games that will be available for the Nvidia Shield Android TV

Since the Nvidia Shield Android TV is almost upon us, and with lots of us being happy that the 500GB model is actually a real thing, we figured that we would list ten games that will be making the jump from PC/Consolel to the Shield Android TV console, many of which should be available at launch. Some of these games are currently available for the Shield tablet and portable already. Most of these games also made a brief appearance during Nvidia’s GDC 2015 press conference as well.

Epic Games brings Unreal Engine support for the HTC Vive VR Headset

The HTC Vive is quickly become a major contender in the Virtual Reality headset space and it hasn’t even been released yet. With a partnership between Valve and HTC, the HTC Vive headset already has some great hardware and software being developed as well as third-party companies building sensors and other goodies for it. Today one more company has announced support for the HTC Vive, which will definitely lend some extra power to the gaming aspect for the HTC Vivie.

Ouya, the company, has apparently put itself up for sale

Ouya has gone through some interesting changes since the concept was announced, then having an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign which raised $8.5 million with promises of a new console every year, and then every other year with the latest hardware, and then changing business models completely and making their marketplace available on Android devices other than the Ouya console itself. The newest change is a rather interesting one, Ouya as a company has been put up for sale.
