“Loot Crates” are an interesting concept that a few companies have started doing, all with different themes and products. What these are is a box of goodies that is send to your house every month. Most are usually themed around comics and video games, which means if you like collectibles and other items of that nature, Loot Crates are like a mini Christmas every month.

Yesterday we launched our new Deals store and while we already have a promo code for everyone to use for 10% off any purchase for a limited time, that certainly isn’t all that is going on to help celebrate the launch of the new store. Another event going on happens to be a giveaway for a Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge.
As you have probably seen on other Android related sites, and other tech sites in general, some of them have these cool Deals stores where users can snag deals on pretty much anything and everything. Most of the stuff in these stores are gadgets, courses to learn programming, and so on. As we near the launch of our new site, we will be rolling out new features and this is one of them.
Last week Jaymes finally posted about where I have been after a week of absence. The reason it took so long to post about it is because I wasn’t expecting to be out of commission for so long. I figured I would be a few days in a hospital bed, possibly able to work from there, and then back to the daily grind once I was home. That, however, was not the case, not even close to it.
Hello to all of you faithful readers of DroidGamers! Just a little note to say thanks for visiting the site on a consistent basis. We appreciate all the posts and leads that you send our way. We wanted to pass on a brief bit of news about ExtremeT, the head Droid, Jedi and founder of DroidGamers.
We have finally updated our app this afternoon which, for some of you, is something you have been hoping to have happen for awhile now. You may have seen us mentioning on G+ that we are redesigning the app with a whole new look. That isn’t this update. What this update is for is to get ready for that one which will be coming soon. However, there are some new features added with this update and a few tweaks.
We use YouTube a lot here at DroidGamers, whether it be posting trailers from other developer’s channels, or posting trailers and gameplay videos from our own channel, and now even uploading previous TwitchTV streams to YouTube. So with YouTube’s announcement of a paid subscription where people can pay to view videos without the ads, you could now watch everything without the ads. This is especially good for the long TwitchTV streams we have, and will continue to, upload onto YouTube. Content creators also need to know the details regarding this new feature.
[Update] Today on Twitch: Celestia pre-release hands-on, Izanagi Online Closed Beta and more. Starting at 1pm PST.
It’s Wednesday, this week’s Hump day. While tomorrow is the official Android game release day, today is sort of the calm before the storm. With that said, we do have a pre-launch hands-on to show you with a new game coming to Android soon called Celestia. Some of our viewers missed our Izanagi Online closed beta hands-on the other day so we will be playing a bit of that today as well.
