Sony Ericsson and EA have teamed up to bring owners of the Xperia Play four games for free for a short period of time. Well actually it’s not that short of a period of time so even if you don’t have an Xperia Play but plan on getting one in the near future, you can still take advantage of this offer.

We were at VDCC yesterday talking with some folks from Sony Ericsson and Qualcomm and during our talk with Sony Ericsson it was mentioned that FIFA 12 by EA will be coming much more sooner than we expected. In our last article about FIFA 12 we guesstimated that it would be released sometime in January on 2012.
Yet another highly anticipated game for Android has gotten placed on some marketplace that very little of the Android population has access to. EA has released Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit onto their Flexion Store which means this is, for the time being, exclusive to the Xperia Play.
About a month ago we mentioned that EA confirmed the continuation of the Madden series on mobile devices including Android. For those of you who have been waiting for this day to arrive, you can now get down and dirty with Madden 12 from EA as it has launched today on the market.
EA has just released a free version of Tetris, the official Tetris that is and not any sort of slight variant version that you can find on the Android Market by searching for Tetris. However, by releasing this free version, EA has almost made the paid versions pointless.
You may remember us reporting on EA’s Origin service over the last couple of month. This service is to be direct competition to Steam but above and beyond that, it was supposed to also bring more social features to their games on iOS and Android, and eventually sell their games on there for mobile as well.
Welcome to the second part of a double shot today of Android Gaming News. There was so much news last week that our friend AndroidAtNight had to make back-to-back episodes of AGN. While one focused on a lot of balls, this episode goes over some of the other big Android gaming news items.
A game that a lot of people have been waiting for is now available, at least to some degree, for Android gamers to get. EA’s Dead Space is now available for purchase and download but you will have to be able to have access to their Flexion store in order to get it.
Keeping on with the Xperia Play news this morning, word is out about the upcoming FIFA installment that should be landing on Android soon. FIFA 12 by EA, when it is released, will be exclusive to the Xperia Play for the usual one month time period after which it will be available for all Android devices.
For anyone hoping that perhaps EA would be releasing any of their current or future games onto Android in a 3D-capable version may be out of luck. EA today has released some new information regarding their outlook on 3D gaming and it isn’t that great.
