Yesterday we posted a bit of a PSA on our Facebook and Google+ and re-tweeted Square Enix’s post on Twitter about the official release of Final Fantasy VI and the fact that it would be arriving today for Android devices. We said we would officially post when it becomes available and so here we are, posting that it is available for purchase now.

While Square Enix may not be bringing the actual games from the console/PC series to mobile devices for the foreseeable future, that isn’t stopping the company from bringing spin-off games to mobile. In the past 24 hours two new Final Fantasy games have been announced – Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and Final Fantasy Legends: Crystal Of Time And Space.
Square Enix, the company that makes all the Final Fantasy games we know and love, has put a few of their highly priced (and prized, if you ask me) games on sale. Normally, these games come in around $15 or $16 dollars, two of their offerings are now being sold for 50% off of their normal price.
While Square Enix may not be porting any more of the actual Final Fantasy games found on other platforms, at least not for the immediate future, that isn’t stopping the company for releasing spin-off games for the franchise. The newest one to be announced is Final Fantasy Artnik Dive, a classic style Final Fantasy game but one that incorporates a Free-to-Play business model and social gaming features.
Back in May of this year we posted about Square Enix bringing Final Fantasy Agito to Android but unfortunately only to those folks who reside in Japan. During E3 2014 Square Enix made the announcement that Final Fantasy Agito would finally be getting released to the Western markets as well.
Yesterday we reported what turning out to be the first in a series of ports of the mini-games found in the original Final Fantasy VII game. Unfortunately we didn’t have any real screenshots or a trailer of any kind to show our readers what Final Fantasy VII G Bike for Android will look like. Today Square Enix has solved that problem by releasing an announcement trailer for everyone to check out.
Square Enix has brought another Final Fantasy title to Android and this time it comes in the form of game called Final Fantasy Atigo. This particular installment into the franchise servers as a prequel to Final Fantasy Type-0 and isn’t a mini-game or anything like that but a full size title.
Square Enix has decided to tease the mobile gaming world with a screenshot of their upcoming addition to the Final Fantasy franchise which is Final Fantasy VI. While there isn’t a whole lot of details regarding this next installment into the popular RPG franchise, we do get to see a little of the game in these new screenshots.
Square Enix has decided to release a rather interesting looking game called Pictlogica onto Android in Japan. This particular Puzzle-RPG is actually a spin-off of their Final Fantasy franchise and looks like it features the more retro-style of visuals and not the remake style that the past few Final Fantasy releases have had.
Over the course of the last week and a half we have had the pleasure of reporting on lots of Square Enix news regarding Final Fantasy as well as some of their other franchises like most of their Dragon Quest series. When we reported that Final Fantasy VI was heading to mobile this Winter we also mentioned that Final Fantasy VII had promising prospects in regards to arriving onto mobile in the near future. That near future seems to be longer than we had hoped… a lot longer actually.
