It seems like there is a lot more going on this year in regards to Halloween than last year and so we have even more news to share. This time it is coming from the fine folks at Sega who have put up a couple of titles on sale to celebrate Halloween. While iOS users get the better end of the stick with this sale, we do get Sonic CD and Football Manager Handheld 2012 on sale for a limited time.

Back in April of this year, Sega had released the first installment of their popular Football Manager series onto Android called Football Manager Handheld 2012. Sporting a price tag of $9.99, Sports Interactive Studio saw a rather high rate of piracy once it was released onto the Google Play store. This in turn made the future of other Football Manager releases onto Android a bit unknown.
Just released onto iOS today, Gameloft’s NFL Pro 2013 football game will also be arriving on Android soon. The newest addition to Gameloft’s free-to-play football series features including improved graphics, new animations and a brand new first-person view for the passing game. Of course, considering the name of the game, there are also real NFL teams as well.
Earlier this morning we reported on a new sale Google would be putting on to celebrate passing the 25 billion overall downloads mark on Google Play. Now games and applications are starting to appear on the Google Play store for $0.25 to kick things off. It isn’t just applications and games though, there will be special 25-themed packs of music, books, magazines and more.
A new Kickstarter campaign has recently gone live as of a couple of days ago for a new football game which was inspired by some classic titles like Tecmo Bowl. Being developed by Run Games LLC, Football Heroes is a hybrid football / beat ’em up / RPG title that will be making its way to Android devices when it launches. The Kickstarter campaign also offers some rather unique rewards for helping with the funding for the game.
Full Fat games have made themselves a name on Android with their flick games. Other than Agent Dash, which we reported about some time ago, all of their titles are known for their use of flick movements, mostly to control balls (golf balls, rugby balls and footballs). Well, they’re coming back this time with yet another NFL game called NFL Kicker 13.
Similar to Call of Duty Elite where you can change load-outs and other items on your Android phone or tablet, EA’s upcoming Madden 13 game for consoles has been announced during their press conference and part of that announcement includes the ability to manage teams on your phone or tablet.
Sega has brought over and just released their best-selling (and the world’s best selling) football management game onto the Google Play store. Officially named Football Manager handheld 2012, you will be assuming almost total control over whatever team you choose from a variety of leagues.
If you happen to be as old as I am, and I am not that old, then you have had a chance to play a lot of the handheld LED games from back in the day. One of the more popular ones happened to be the Mattel LED Football game which originally hit the store shelves back in 1978. Well that game is now available on Android via the Amazon App Store.
The Super Bowl is drawing closer and closer to starting and with that football fans can get a little action going in the meantime as Full Fat Games has released another title in their ‘Flick’ series of games called NFL Flick Kicker. I bet you can’t guess what this game is about?
