What week wouldn’t be complete without some sort of new information regarding the Sony Android Playstation phone, the Zeus/Z1/Xperia Play depending on what you believe it’ll be called. This week it is showing up though holding hands with an Xperia X10 to give you an idea of the scale/size of this Android device.
A Japanese newspaper, Asahi Shimbun, is reporting that the Sony Android Playstation phone which is rumored to be named the Xperia Play, will be released in early Spring 2011. This pretty much just re-enforces the recent information from last week about this device not making an appearance at CES 2011 but at MWC 2011 instead.
Starting off the day fresh with news about the Playstation Android phone that will be coming our way soon. According to Pocket-lint’s source, Sony Ericsson will not be showing the gaming device at CES 2011 but instead will be using the Mobile World Conference in February for the official launch with units being available in April.
LG officially announces the LG Optimus 2X dual-core Android phone, officially the first Tegra 2 Android phone
After many sites have fondled the LG ‘Star’ and previewed it, LG has released a press release officially announcing their dual-core Android phone. Anyone surprised it is the day before the Nexus S launch? No? Me neither. Anyways, this bad boy of a phone is nothing to turn your nose up at either with it’s dual-core Tegra 2 chip.
Android gamers, and general users as well, might be happy to know about this little gadget coming from Motorola. A Bluetooth keyboard just received certification from the Bluetooth SIG. The possibilities for this become very clear in regards to gaming if you give it a minute to roll around in your mind. Go ahead, think about it for a second.
A couple of days ago some specs were leaked out about the upcoming Motorola dual-core tablet, dubbed the Everest. Well new information has come to light regarding this great looking tablet along with the confirmation of specs previously leaked out. Also Mr. Blurry Cam decided to release some more photos of the Motorola tablets.
Let the leaks begin! This time with the Motorola dual-core Android tablet, the specs and a screenshot of Honeycomb has been leaked out by some guy in Taiwan. While we can get all excited about the specs and Honeycomb, let’s just remember to take everything with a grain of salt, especially when we get Mr. Blurry Cam involved.

While the initial benchmarking scores aren’t all that impressive, neither the software or hardware is final, keep that in mind.
TI just announced that while their older version of the OMAP processor, the 4430, hasn’t even made it to devices for public consumption yet, they are already working on a new 4440 processor. The two Cortex-A9-based cores can hit speeds as high as 1.5GHz, the current 4430 version tops out at 1GHz.
