Alright so by now we all know that the Xperia Play exists and we’ve seen the insides of it, seen it in action playing games and even watched Engadget fondle it. Now to really solidify the fact it is real, since Sony Ericsson keeps saying it is not, we now have an official commercial about the Xperia Play!

Not a lot of people have heard of ASRock or Pegatron, unless you are deep into the PC gaming scene, so hearing about two Android tablets coming from a motherboard manufacturer might not just tickle your fancy all that much. However, Pegatron is an OEM division of Asus and ASRock motherboards have been sponsored by Fatal1ty.
While we enjoy saying the ‘Sony Android Playstation phone’, the official name is the Xperia Play and is a lot shorter to say. Taking that into account, the Xperia Play is probably the worst kept secret in Android history so far with the amount of leaks, videos, hands-on and so on which is impressive considering the phone doesn’t exist.
So there is a big juicy rumor going around right now regarding the Xperia Play and that it will be carried by Orange in the UK. In case you’ve been living under a rock the past 6 months, the Xperia Play is an Android gaming device by Sony/Sony Ericcson which will play Playstation games and comes with a slide out controller.
At CES 2011 there were a ton of new Android goodies to play around with. One of the more impressive phones was the Motorola Bionic which is a part of a few new awesome Motorola devices slated for release soon. While we were going to do a traditional type of hands-on, our device happen to have Dungeon Defenders installed on it.
So the device that doesn’t exist, according to Sony Ericsson reps during CES 2011 we talked to, has gotten dismantled and laid naked in front of us for all to see. You would think by now they would just admit the damn thing exists outright and at least send us one! Ahh wishful thinking isn’t it? Anyways, TGBus decided to dismantle the Playstation Android phone.
One of the more awesome Android phones at CES 2011 was the Optimus 2X from LG who came out strong this year at the show. This is LG’s first dual-core Android phone sporting a Tegra 2 chip inside and playing around with it, you can certainly see/feel the difference a Tager 2 makes in your phone.
Here is the best way to get the week started, more Xperia Play gameplay video! In this video we see a user loading up the Playstation ROMs for Resident Evil 2 and Ridge Racer via ROM Buddy. While this most likely won’t be how actual Playstation games will be loaded into the phone for playing, it is a neat temporary solution.
After the recent in-depth look at the Sony Playstation Android phone by a Chinese website, which ended up being posted about everywhere but here (sorry CES had me running!), it seems that this little device, dubbed the Xperia Play/Zeus/Z1, is becoming less camera shy each week. Another site now has new photos for your viewing pleasure.
NOX Audio invited us over to check out their working prototype of a headset they will be releasing in late 2011 called the Admiral Touch. This headset features a small 2.4″ LCD screen running the Android OS to take advantage of gesture-based controls and will have built-in WiFi for streaming audio as well.
