While Google still works on getting Google Glass ready for official public consumption, the company has decided to build five games for the wearable technology in the hopes that it will encourage developers to make more games for it. Before now there have been a few games made for Google Glass but that is about it.

Yesterday we held a giveaway for three people to win a $10 Google Play gift card. Only two of those three winners claimed their prizes which means we have one of those $10 Google Play gift cards remaining. While we send the other two winners from yesterday their prizes, here is another giveaway for even more Google Play credit.

Nvidia has been sticking their chips in Tesla cars and bringing them to CES for a couple of years now. Other companies have dabbled in similar projects as well. Google, however, has gone ahead and created the Open Automotive Alliance and announced its existence today. Similar to the Open Handset Alliances, the Open Automotive Alliance (or OAA for short) is a partnership between Google and a variety of car manufacturers where they will be bringing Android to cars, mostly as an in-car info-tainment service.
Google’s Niantic Labs have officially dropped the beta tags that having been hanging off their location-based MMO called Ingress for quite some time now. That means this game is now available for everyone who happen to want to get in on the action. Originally this game was supposed to drop its beta tags on December 14th, 2013 but for whatever reason it has happened today instead.
Google’s Play Store app is getting an update today that has already begun to roll out which will be bringing a bit more social activity to the application. This new version (4.5.10 for those of you keeping track) will introduce a new social activity feed for you to check out.
Google’s in-house studio NianticLabs has finally taken the jump, changing their location-based MMO Ingress from closed beta status to an open beta one. So what exactly does this mean? It means you don’t have to wait for an invitation in order to grab this rather in-depth game. Instead you can head over to Google Play and snag yourself a copy of Ingress right now for free without the need for an invite from a friend.
The title may seem a bit weird but Google has been wanting developers to make sure their games and applications look and run good not just on Android phones but on tablets as well. Starting November 21st, 2013 when you log into the Google Play store from a tablet you will automatically be directed to a new section called ‘Designed for Tablets’.
It seems as though a new statue has appeared on the green lively grass over at Google’s main campus and it is that of a giant Andriod made out of Kit Kat bars. This means that the new version of Android will be named after the breakable chocolate bar.
So Google has decided to host an indie game mega sale featuring eight indie games marked down by 50% or more off their normal prices. Pretty much every one of these games on sale are worth picking up so for those of you looking to score a couple of good games, now is a very good time to do so.
