Our friends over at InnoGames have sent us some goodies to check out. It is actually a sneak peek at three games the company is working on for mobile devices. If you’re not familiar with InnoGames, they started off making browser-based MMO games such as Tribal Wars, but have expanded their catalog of games in the past couple of years to include mobile versions of Tribal Wars, Tribal Wars 2, Grepolis, and Forge of Empires.
We’ve been covering the inevitable release of InnoGames’ upcoming MMORTS sequel Tribal Wars 2 for some time now. Closed beta registration sign-up began in December of 2013 and since then things have been a little hush hush about the actual gameplay and what it will look like. While players of the original game will have some sort of idea, those of you who are new to the franchise may not.
The sequel to InnoGames’ popular MMORTS game Tribal Wars is gearing up for its beta phase and pre-registrations have now gone live. When Tribal Wars 2 launches, it will feature cross-platform gameplay between Android, iOS and PC right away instead of having it added later on like what happened with the original Tribal Wars game.
Back in March of last year during GDC 2012 we sat down with InnoGames’ Head of Public Relations Dennis Heinert where we talked about the company’s catalog of MMORTS games and how they would be heading to Android soon. Since then Tribal Wars arrived and is still labeled as a beta. One of their other big MMORTS titles called Grepolis has also been slated for release onto Android and it looks like the game could finally be getting released soon.
InnoGames has updated the mobile browser version of their MMORTS game Tribal Wars and coming along with the revamping of the mobile version of the game comes the opening of it to everyone instead of just premium members. This isn’t the Android app version we are talking about here but the browser version which allows you to play the game through your Android device’s browser. Similar to the actual app that is also available.
Tribal Wars from InnoGames has been around for awhile now and during GDC 2012 we reported that a mobile version was heading its way over to Android soon and that eventually all their in-house developed games would be coming as well.. Well now InnoGames has released a public beta version of their popular MMORTS game onto the Google Play store.
InnoGames have been around for quite awhile having developed and published a lot of browser-based MMORTS games with their flagship title being Tribal Wars. We got a chance to sit down with Dennis Heinert, Head of Public Relations at InnoGames during GDC 2012 where we learned that InnoGames is planning on bringing all of their in-house developed MMO titles to Android.
