The upcoming Mojo Android-powered game console by Mad Catz is nearing its official retail launch and it looks like it will be a little more appealing when it finally does go on sale thanks to Mad Catz and Nvidia working together to bring Nvidia’s GameStream technology to the console. While this feature most likely won’t make it in time for the console’s launch, it is planned for it to arrive in an update shortly afterwards.

As we near the end of this year we can expect Mad Catz to finally launch their Mojo Android-powered game console. Along with the console, Mad Catz already has a wide selection of peripherals available to use with it or any bluetooth enabled Android device. A lot of people have had their eyes on Mad Catz who have promised to build the most powerful Android-based console that would be available when it launches. So during the GameStop Expo we just left the other day we had a chance to do our interview with Mad Catz in person instead of doing it through Skype or email, hence the delay in the interview getting done in the first place. We sat down with Alex Verrey, the Global PR Director for Mad Catz and Nathan Aguilera, Associate Product Manager for Mad Catz to talk about their upcoming Android-based gaming console called Mojo.
Mad Catz unveiled their entry into the Android-powered console arena during E3 2013 which is called Mojo. While the console was on display at E3 and subsequent shows for some hands-on loving, the hardware within the console itself was there was more for showing the prototype console then actually being finalized hardware for a production release.
Last week Mad Catz announced a rather large amount of news regarding their peripherals under the GameSmart brand of technology. Along with that news came the announcement that the company would be getting into the Android-powered game console market with Project M.O.J.O., planning to officially unveil it at E3 2013 which kicks off today with press conferences while the showroom opens up tomorrow.

Mad Catz is starting to really focus on mobile gaming and with good reason too since it is now becoming a major force in the gaming industry. Back during CES 2013 the company unveiled a series of peripherals that would be compatible with most platforms including mobile for mobile gamers. Mad Catz has now announced a partnership with Nvidia revolving around their GameSmart Technology and any product that uses that technology will be compatible with Nvidia Tegra-based devices.
Mad Catz is known for making some of the funkiest looking gaming peripherals known to mankind, with half of them looking like they belong in a Transformers movie. Well the company s expanding their business model and getting into not only the mobile gaming scene but the wireless gaming scene as well in regards to SmartTVs.
