Android users know that there are a number of apps which allows you to use your Android device to act as a controller and vice versa. Heck, you can even your Android device to control another Android device. Orthogonal Labs, Inc. is looking to join in on controller fray with WanderPlayer.

Sony’s upcoming PlayMemories service and application suite will be launching this March (if all goes well) and along with it will come an application for Android as well. The entire PlayMemories suite will actually consist of four different parts: PlayMemories Studio, PlayMemories Online, PlayMemories Home and PlayMemories Mobile.
Back in the older console day it was always fun to use cheat engines or things like Game Shark to play games with unlimited ammo, unlimited health or all the levels unlocked along with many many other cheats. Now there is something similar on Android called GameCIH.
Well it appears that the soft launch for Gameloft’s Xbox style social service, called Gameloft Live!, has ended and now it is available on the Android Market. If you nabbed this application during the soft launch, the only way to get it was through Gameloft’s own store.
One bane of Android gamers is when a game is released and their device isn’t supported. About 90% of the time, the game in question will actually run fine on any particular device in question, it is just that for whatever reason a developer has chosen not to support that particular device. At least not that the current time you are trying to download it.
Well that was a pretty quick closed beta for Valve’s official Steam app for Android. having only been released since last week, the beta was a limited closed one where, if you were quick enough to get the app and log-in, you were able to get into the closed beta.
Well this certainly didn’t take long. We have actually known for awhile Valve was considering (read developing) and app for Android and after the recent one we posted about the unofficial Steam app for Android from IBF Programs, Valve has released an official application now.
Back in the beginning of January we wrote about the fact that Microsoft looks to be developing an Xbox Live companion app for Android. This came about thanks to a job posting looking for a software engineer with Android and iOS experience for an Xbox Live mobile application.
When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was release there was also a new service called Elite which integrated a bunch of social and extra features which you could sign up for either for free or as a paid subscription to fully unlock everything. This Elite service was also supposed to have an Android and iOS application which subsequently got delayed.
More pre-CES 2012 news today as Qualcomm has announced that they will be launching the GamesCommand app we previously talked about a few weeks back. This will be the same type of app as Tegra Zone is but instead of showcasing Tegra games it will be showcasing Qualcomm Snapdragon games.
