Back in April of this year we reported on Terry Cavanagh’s challenging retro-style platformer called VVVVVV and the fact it would be landing on Android soon. Well for those of you who have been waiting for this game to be released, it is now available on Google Play. However this isn’t the only game from Mr. Cavanagh as Super Gravitron has also made an appearance as well.
Noodlecake Studios has released their next game onto Android which comes in the form of Random Heroes 2. Like the original game, Random Heroes 2 is an action-platformer featuring retro-style visuals, plenty of guns and explosions, and lots of characters to play as.
The Humble Bundle PC and Android 10 sale just got a lot more interesting. It was already a fantastic deal with three games available for pay what you want and the critically acclaimed Breach & Clear and Skulls of the Shogun and Fieldrunners 2 along with the arcade classic Metal Slug 3 available for those who pay more than the average.
Independent Game Dev Terry Cavanagh of distractionware is bringing two of his games, VVVVVV and Super Hexagon to the Android game console Ouya. A new action-platformer game entitled Lynn and the Spirits of Inao was recently announced and is on its way to hit both Android and iOS platforms. Thinice, developer of the previous Android title Save Sea Turtles!, returns to the Playstore with his new platformer, Twin Robots. With devices nowadays becoming more and more powerful, good platformer games are harder to come by. Platformer games in the mobile segment often offer too little to get gamers hooked. Swordigo is a mobile platformer that does not fall into the same pit that most games of this genre do. The guys over at Touch Foo outdid themselves on this one as Swordigo follows the side-scrolling genre while implementing the same elements of surprise and puzzle solving reminiscent of classic platformers like the Mega Man and Tomba! series.
Terry Cavanagh already has plenty of fans in the mobile gaming scene with the release of Super Hexagon, along with a couple of his older titles as well. One of his bigger hits though is called VVVVVV and awhile ago we reported on the fact that it would be coming to Android. Well it looks like it will finally be happening and soon.
As many of you have probably noticed, the Android-powered game console Ouya has been announcing a lot of exclusive titles over the past few months. While this is something that should have probably been happening when it originally was released, it’s better later than never right? The newest game announced as an exclusive for Ouya is actually already on PC via Steam Greenlight and is called Magnetic By Nature.
