Terry Cavanagh’s VVVVVV and Super Gravitron have both invaded Google Play today

Back in April of this year we reported on Terry Cavanagh’s challenging retro-style platformer called VVVVVV and the fact it would be landing on Android soon. Well for those of you who have been waiting for this game to be released, it is now available on Google Play. However this isn’t the only game from Mr. Cavanagh as Super Gravitron has also made an appearance as well.

Artistic Game Lynn and the Spirits of Inao for Android and iOS Announced, Arriving in 2015

A new action-platformer game entitled Lynn and the Spirits of Inao was recently announced and is on its way to hit both Android and iOS platforms. Produced by indie developer Bloomylight Studio, Lynn and the Spirits of the Inao boasts a colorful and vibrant artistic rendition said to be influenced by Japanese artists Hayao Miyazaki and Shigeru Miyamoto (works include Spirited Away and Legend of Zelda, respectively).

Developer Thinice returns to the Playstore with new platformer called Twin Robots

Thinice, developer of the previous Android title Save Sea Turtles!, returns to the Playstore with his new platformer, Twin Robots. Twin Robots was originally released for Ouya in December 2013 and was then offered as a launch title for the Amazon Fire this past April. Thinice has now launched a full-blown release, making it available on Windows, Mac, Linux and of course – Android.

Swordigo Review: The Return of the Platformer is Finally Here

With devices nowadays becoming more and more powerful, good platformer games are harder to come by. Platformer games in the mobile segment often offer too little to get gamers hooked. It is understandable as fully-rendered 3D adventure games often offer more customization and content altogether thus increasing expectations, even for 2D platformers. Swordigo is a mobile platformer that does not fall into the same pit that most games of this genre do. The guys over at Touch Foo outdid themselves on this one as Swordigo follows the side-scrolling genre while implementing the same elements of surprise and puzzle solving reminiscent of classic platformers like the Mega Man and Tomba! series.

Magnetic by Nature announced as coming to Ouya as an exclusive next month

As many of you have probably noticed, the Android-powered game console Ouya has been announcing a lot of exclusive titles over the past few months. While this is something that should have probably been happening when it originally was released, it’s better later than never right? The newest game announced as an exclusive for Ouya is actually already on PC via Steam Greenlight and is called Magnetic By Nature.
