Remember Cestos from Chickenbrick Studios? It was one of the more popular games back in the earlier days of Android with the ability to have multiplayer games. Well ChickenBrick hasn’t been sleeping all this time, and Cestos 2 is now in beta. Luckily for you, we are in the Beta and feel the need to give you all a sneak peek at this new, awesome game.
From time to time when there is a lot of news but a lot of it isn’t long enough to post you’ll see something like this article. This will let you know of things such as updates to games, re-releases of games and any other Android gaming news. Sometimes there will be a lot and others not so much but it’ll be quick and to the point and humorous sometimes.
Match-3 games…there’s a slew of them available for Android but maybe 20% of them are great while the other 80% offers nothing unique or exciting. Babo Crash Deluxe has made it’s was from iOS to Android bringing with it the same great match-3 type of game you enjoy but with a lot more including crazy graphics, characters and phone rotating.
Bi-planes, jets, UFOs, guns, explosions and Beethoven… or is it Mozart? I’m not too sure. MiniSquadron combines them all into one beautifully crafted game. Now, I bet you’re wondering how Mozart and Beethoven can possibly go together with explosions and planes. Well, my friends, I’ll tell you how!
You know Gamefly right? If you haven’t heard of Gamefly what they do is offer unlimited game rentals for a flat monthly fee for console/PC games. Think of it as the Netflix of the console gaming world. Vodafone has decided to take that idea and combined it with the world of Android gaming to offer mobile gamers all the games you could want for a monthly fee.
The world of RPGs and MMORPGs for Android continues to grow and while still a bit thin on choices the quality of those choices tends to be high that you can overlook the lack of selection available. Add another one to the growing list of future MMORPGs for Android as Spacetime Studios is bringing their 3D MMORPG, Pocket Legends, to Android.
“Ninjas hate fruit”. I think I missed that memo, but it definitely provides a great basis for an awesome game. Fruit Ninja, developed by Halfbrick, is a fruit chopping game that tests your agility and dexterity. Just be sure to only cut the fruit and don’t cut any bombs, or else…well..you blow up which means the fruit wins and you fail as a Ninja.
Fable III is set to release soon and while the game itself already has a ridiculous amount of hyper already and the developers, Lionhead, are not satisfied just yet. Titled Fable III: Kingmaker, the game is an Augmented Reality game which will turn your town or city in one “big online battle” at anytime, anywhere when loaded onto your phone.
Just a few moments ago the nice UPS man came knocking on my door. Upon opening this box (I was slightly confused as I wasn’t expecting anything) I was shocked to see one of the Limited Edition R2D2 Droids sitting inside. After staring at it for about 10 minutes in awe and surprise I did what any normal Android fanatic would do, grabbed my camera and unboxed it!
Android gamers have a few options when it comes to controller peripherals which include the Game Gripper, Wiimote support app so you can use your Wiimote with your phone to play games and eventually Zeemote will support Android in the future (it got delayed for some reason so it doesn’t support Android right now). Soon we will also have the iControlPad.
