Kemco has released a new RPG onto Android called Valkyria Soul and this particular one is a little different than most of the company’s other games out on Google Play. This is mainly due to the fact that instead of being a straight JRPG like always, there is more of a collecting and training aspect to this game.

Usually when we do our Android Game Sales round-ups the mid-week one and the final Friday round-up are, for the most part, pretty different. However once in a rare while it actually ends up being mostly the same. This is actually the case with this week except there are a few changes.
Mobile Dev and publisher TOAST had announced that Mobile offering people the opportunity to sign up to participate in the closed beta for Guardian Stone. The game itself is an adventure RPG where players assume a role as one of the classic dungeon-crawling heroes (Warrior, Ranger, or Sorceress) who is accompanied by warrior spirits called Guardians, all in search of the mysterious Guardian Stones.
Gameloft has announced the next installment into the Dungeon Hunter franchise, officially called Dungeon Hunter 5, and along with this Gameloft has now made pre-launch registration live on the game’s official micro-site. Also, besides all of this, Gameloft has also released a Developer Diary video which does show some of the gameplay that will arrive with Dungeon Hunter 5.
Hyper Rift is a new “game” that has been released on Android in the last few days. It’s an interactive story, think “Choose your own adventure”, so players have some say in how the story progresses. And in the fashion of those classic books, there are over a dozen different endings.
Chain Chronicles, produced by Sega and Gumi, have released to new content for Chain Chronicles. This game is a hybrid Tower Defense/RPG, where players assume the role of a captain in the army defending the continent of Yggdra from the evil, invading Black Army.
Spacetime Studios will be dropping development of most of their older titles to focus on a select few
Interesting news coming out of Spacetime Studios as the company has announced that they will no longer be updating a majority of their older titles, and even some of their newer ones. Instead the company will focus on a select few titles: Arcane Legends, Battle Command, and a new unannounced project. Everything else will no longer be receiving updates. This does not mean the rest of their games are shutting down.
[Update: Released] Square Enix will be bringing Bravely Archive: D’s Report to Android in Japan next month
Word on the street these days is that Square Enix will be bringing Bravely Archive: D’s Report to Android next month although so far Japan is the only location that the game has been announced for. This will be the first Bravely game for smartphones and tablets, with previous title having been made available for the Nintendo 3DS.
Released by Aspyr Media, Inc for Android (and originally developed by BioWare and released by LucasArts), Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) is a role playing game that’s been around for over a decade. Back around Christmas, when I saw it was released on Android, I was pretty stoked to grab it up and jump in. Let’s see how things went for me.
Today DeNA has announced that a sequel is in the works for their popular RPG title Blood Brothers. The game will be appropriately called Blood Brothers 2 and will still feature the Gothic fantasy theme that the original game had.
