It is time for another Android game sale round-up for the end of this week. We are doing it today instead of our usual Friday round-up since we have already talked a lot this week about sales, so we wanted to wait till the very end of this week to make sure we get all the good games into this list this week.
Harebrained Schemes has put their currently released Shadowrun titles on sale for a limited time. While Shadowrun Returns has received a small discount of a buck, Shadowrun Dragonfall has been discounted pretty heavily, taking $4 off of its regular price.
Harebrained Schemes has announced that they will be releasing a sequel to their Shadowrun Returns game next week called Shadowrun Dragonfall. Currently this sequel has been out for PC gamers for a few months now and the developers have announced that it will be released onto Android and iOS at the same time next week for mobile gamers to dig into.
Harebrained Schemes had quite the successful Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming title Shadowrun Returns, a rebirth of the Shadowrun series but on multiple platforms including Android. Originally the company had a January 2013 release time frame for Shadowrun Returns but now that has changed and a new time frame has been set of May or June of next year instead.
While we wait for Shadowrun Returns to arrive on Android after it was successfully Kickstarter, we now get to check out a new Shadowrun games that is also looking for funding but in this instance it will be an MMORPG called Shadowrun Online, or SRO for short.
Every time we write about this game it seems as though it is only positive news about the game getting better and better. This particular instance is now exception to that rule either. When the game was originally announced on Kickstarter, the developers had mentioned that the music would be close to the original game’s style.
Since the funding for Shadowrun Returns has completed and the game will indeed be made, slated for release on Android tablets, one big feature that a lot of people were hoping for is multiplayer. While it was said that multiplayer wouldn’t be coming, at least not right away, we now have more confirmation that it will most likely arrive but it will be after the game’s launch.
Well that certainly didn’t take long and it really isn’t a surprise but in case you haven’t yet noticed, the Kickstarter project for Shadowrun Returns, the newest iteration of the classic and epic RPG from back in the day, has reached their Kickstater goal of $400,000 in just under two days. So what does this mean?
The epic and classic RPG called Shadowrun is hoping to make a return to the gaming scene with a new title appropriately named Shadowrun Returns. This time, however it won’t just be for the old school consoles. This new game will be for PC’s, iOS and Android tablets.
