Over the past couple of weeks Blizzard has been teasing a big announcement regarding their Hearthstone game which would be happening on July 22nd, 2015. That happens to be today. While there is a ton of guesses as to what this could be, all of the previous expansions, updates, new features, and new content to arrive for this game have never had a live event to go with it. This marks the first time that there has been a live event for an announcement for Hearthstone.

Back in April 2015 we reported on Herocraft and the fact they had begun a beta testing phase for their upcoming Warhammer 40K: Space Wolf game. Since then the beta has been running but it looks like everything is good to go as Herocraft has dropped the beta tags for this game and it is now officially available. With a franchise as big as Warhammer (both the fantasy one and 40K) you would think all the games we currently have related to the franchise would be great. In truth, only a couple have been on the level of great, and Warhammer 40K: Space Wolf is one that can be added to this list.
About a week ago we reported on Blizzard’s Hearthstone and the fact that the company had begun teasing a rather big announcement that would be happening on July 22nd, 2015. The teasing of this announcement came in the form of a scroll that was sent to PCGamer which also played the Argent Tournament theme song when the box was initially opened.
It’s Wednesday and that means it is time for another Tavern Brawl to start in Hearthstone. Each week on this coveted day a new Tavern Brawl begins, making players deal with the new ruleset Blizzard has decided to throw at them. This week’s rules? It is all about summoning… a LOT of summoning.
[Update: Game Released] Fans of Penny Dreadful rejoice: Penny Dreadful: Demimonde will be released this Fall
Based on the Showtime TV Series, Penny Dreadful: Demimonde is a cross between CCG and Puzzle-RPG that is set to arrive this Fall. The idea behind this game, is to allow fans of the TV series to be able to “engage with their favorite characters and content from the series”, according to the developers. The puzzles are to be mini-games for the fans of the show, while allowing players to build their own teams by collecting their favorite creatures and characters from the show, and battle them against other players in tournaments.
Well there has been plenty of updates and content for Blizzard’s Hearthstone game in the past month, with the new Tavern Brawl feature being in full swing, the new cosmetic heroes being added to the game, and plenty of other goodies. Apparently Blizzard isn’t done either as the company has begun teasing a big announcement which will happen on July 22nd, 2015.
It wasn’t too long ago that Microsoft purchase Minecraft develop Mojang for a ridiculous amount of money, to the tune of $2.5 billion. While it was always stated that development of Minecraft would continue, with very little changing regarding that game, not much was said about the company’s other titles. One of those titles is the company’s multiplayer card combat game Scrolls, and now development will be ceasing for that game.
Mobile gamers do not have a shortage of collectible card combat games, otherwise known as CCGs or TCGs depending on how you like to word them, and most of these games are pretty decent. Some are quite good, but the majority end up in the decent sort of rating. Unfortunately that means the genre is starting to become a little tired because of the sheer amount of these types of games being released. Even so, once in awhile there’s one that comes along that looks pretty good and Warhammer: Storm of Magic looks like one of those.
Earlier this week Blizzard finally pushed out their big update for Hearthstone and part of that update was the new Tavern Brawl game mode. For those of you who missed our coverage about this, Tavern Brawl will be a weekly ‘event’ of sorts, whereas each week there is a start and an end date and time. Each week features a different ruleset that players have to abide by and this ruleset can be pretty much anything and everything that Blizzard can think up.
[Update: Released] Square Enix announces the Final Fantasy portal app, complete with its own game
Square Enix has plenty to announce during their press event at E3 2015 today, and while we feel a little burned right now with no Final Fantasy VII announced for Android, we will get over it. Instead we will play around with Square Enix’s newly announced Final Fantasy Portal app when it becomes available soon.
