Last night Nvidia held their CES 2014 press conference and as we mentioned in our lead-up article to this event, Nvidia was going to be bringing some mobile gaming news to the stage. As it turns out the company did just that with the announcement of the Tegra K1 chipset, or as they are calling it, a super chip.

A couple of week ago we talked about Vivid Games who has announced their newest Unreal Engine powered title Godfire: Rise of Prometheus which will be making its way to Android soon. Unfortunately at the time we first posted about this game, we didn’t have any sort of trailer available to watch and see the gameplay.
Uppercut Games has brought their robot-filled third-person shooter EPOCH over to Android. Developed using Unreal Engine 3, EPOCH takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where robots battle it out for survival. Along the way player might even be able to piece together the events that took place which ended up having the old world end and leave nothing but ruins in its place.
A third game has appeared on the Google Play store and it appears Square Enix has done a triple release this morning. Aside from Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy Dimensions being released this morning, their Unreal Engine built rhythm-based game Demon’s Score THD is also available but for Tegra 3 based Android devices.
Square Enix’s rhythm-based action game Demons Score THD has just landed on the Square Enix Market for Japanese residents who own an Android device. Could this mean we will be seeing it soon as a worldwide release for Android users, not just in Japan? It looks like that possibility is on the horizon and it could be even today since Square Enix did confirm that Demons Score THD would be released worldwide.
Niklas Smedberg of Epic Games made an interesting statement during GDC Europe 2012 citing that mobile is now the new PC in terms of gaming. This is a fact we have been saying for the past year and a half at least but that is besides the point. It is interesting in that this is coming from Epic Games and the statement goes as far as saying that right now mobile is “starting to competing with current consoles”.
Last week we broke the story about Gameloft’s first Unreal Engine built game and the fact it would be called Wild Blood thanks to a little sleuthing on the part of one of our readers. Gameloft has decided to just come right out and announce that the game’s name is indeed Wild Blood. Along with this, Gameloft has released the first trailer for it.
Back during the Zynga press even in June, 2012, Phosphor Games announced their next project which is to be called Horn. At that time there was very little information about Horn except for the fact it looked visually amazing. For those of you unfamiliar with Phosphor Games, they were responsible for the great Silent Hill-esque game called Dark Meadow.
Gameloft has come out pretty strong at this year’s E3 show but there was an absence in the list of games and trailers that were announced. This absence was that of their currently unnamed first Unreal Engine based game. Their previous Unreal Engine game, March of Heroes, never made it out of demo status.
A new game has just appeared on nVidia’s Tegra Zone called The Dark Meadow. Developed by Phosphor Games Studios, this upcoming game is a rather dark, thriller type of single-player FPS title which is being built using Unreal Engine 3 and will be available for Android devices sporting a Tegra chipset.
