Yesterday we reported that Phosphor Games, developers of the rather creepy Dark Meadows game for Tegra-based devices, have released a bit of a trailer / video interview regarding their upcoming game for Android called Horn. This game was further confirmed for Android during the Google I/O 2012 Day 1 Keynote event going on this morning.

Interesting news coming out today over the recent Zynga acquisition (which cost them $210 million) of OMGPOP and their hit game Draw Something. It seems as though, since the acquisition of OMGPOP, that Draw Something has seen a steady decline in daily usage and it is no small number.

AndEngine is a game development engine designed for Android. It has been an open source project that was started by Nicolas Gramlich who I’ve had the pleasure of talking to on and off for the last year or so. Well today I received a neat little email from him with some great news, Zynga Mobile has snatched him up!
Well it seems after the announcement awhile back regarding Zynga bringing live poker to Android has finally come true. While this was supposed to be their first game for Android, Mafia Wars ended up being released before it. It is still the first game of their on the Android Market but it did have some people confused at first.
GetJar promised that at least three days this week we would see some big named, full version games coming to Android via GetJar and sure enough today’s announcement is a fairly big one. Zynga’s Mafia Wars for Android is now available exclusively on GetJar. I’m pretty sure I don’t need to go into detail as to what Mafia Wars is.
