Sega’s rather popular dungeon combat, city building card-combat game Kingdom Conquest is getting a sequel appropriately named Kingdom Conquest II. Right now the game is actually already available in Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong for the past couple of weeks to make sure everything is running smoothly and, of course, everything is monetizing nicely.

Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.5.1 update will come with Signs, Clouds, and gravity affecting certain blocks
Back in December 2012 we posted on news regarding not just the upcoming 0.5.1 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition but also the future 0.6.0 update and what both of these updates may very well come with. Well we have confirmation that Signs will definitely be arriving in 0.5.1 but also a few other goodies are on the way.
Welcome to the third installment of our Under The Radar column where we showcase a few good games that we may not have been able to publish as full articles on our website. Ultimately, with this, smaller developers get vital exposure for their games and you get to have more games to play on your plate. If you know of more quality games released recently that have not got the attention they deserve, let us know by leaving a comment below!
We reported back in September of last year that the developer behind the hit iOS and PC game Super Hexagon was considering making a port of his game for Android devices. Well Terry Cavanagh has confirmed that the Android port is coming soon for Android gamers to enjoy, except if you own a Nexus 7 tablet.
While rummaging around the convention center looking for all the Android gaming goodies we went and had a meeting with MHL who we are sure most people are familiar with if you connect your phone to your TV for game playing. If not, we will go over what MHL is a little bit here but the really interesting thing is that they had the Green Throttle controller and game system (currently in beta) available for trying out.
DeNA has released a new game onto their Mobage platform called D.O.T. Defender of Texel or just D.O.T. for short. This isn’t the standard type of game though that you might be thinking it will be since it’s on the Mobage social gaming platform. This is, instead, an 8-bit retro style RPG filled with all the retro visuals you can handle.
A couple of days ago you may have noticed that the Kickstarter campaign for the upcoming portable Android gaming console GameStick had disappeared temporarily from Kickstarter. If you were a backer of the campaign, you were also treated with some neat little messages hitting your inbox regarding what was happening.
Gamevil has just released a new game onto Google Play called Asura Cross which is their take on the whole Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat genre. The rather interesting thing about this game is that when you are playing in Story Mode, you will be choosing how your character’s story unfolds instead of having a preset storyline to follow like you have in games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.
While checking out the LG booth at CES 2013 and checking out some of the mobile devices on display there we happened to spot two new games that are currently not available right now on Google Play. These two games are called Rooms 2 and Defense Technical and happen to look quite good.
I’m not a huge fan of Anime-inspired games, unless they are of a very particular strain. Basically I’ll know a good Anime when I see one, but I can’t really explain the type I’d like. Zenonia 5 is uber cute, filled with massive explosions and weapons, packed with cute but deadly monsters and pretty much what you might expect from a freemium Anime shoot-em-up for Android. I found it semi-delightful until the game would punish me for seemingly no reason.
