Protostar Games, the creators of the enjoyable driving game Checkpoint Champion, will release their new game tomorrow. Checkpoint Champion was definitely a fun game, and it looks like Sling Kong will be too.

Invictus Games has produced quite a few games for Android. Not too long ago, they released Daytona Rush, which was a pretty good endless racing game. Their latest game is 4 X 4 Jam HD. If there is one word to describe the graphics, it would be stunning. It is one of those games that your friends can see you playing, and their comment would probably be…”Those are graphics on a mobile device?” The game looks that good. The game play is definitely fun, but the game could use a few tune-ups under the hood.
No, you are not confused. I did say that a game published by Zynga is quite enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised when I started playing Mountain Goat Mountain, the latest game from Zynga. In short, its adorable main character, simple game play and varying environments, make this game a great one to play for you, and the young ones in your family.
11 Bit Studios has been busy this month. A few weeks ago they released the much lauded This War of Mine. Following rapidly on the heels of that release, is Spacecom, which is now available to download in the Google Play Store. If you are a fan of strategy games that test your tactical abilities, Spacecom may be the game that you have been waiting for.

DroidGamers has an opportunity every now and then, to learn more about the companies that make the games we enjoy playing. We get the chance to find out about their inner workings, and what drives them to create games. Nekki, the game developer behind Shadow Fight 2 and the immensely popular Vector, has given DroidGamers such an opportunity. This is a two-part interview. In this first interview, we will learn about the origins and inner workings of Nekki. Our second interview will be about the highly anticipated Vector 2, which is in development now, and will be coming to Android/iOS very soon.
Nitrome has a string of hits on Android. It seems with every release, they are trying something a little bit different, but strangely enough, totally within their ever unfolding wheel house. Their latest game Vault, is an endless runner, and it is downright fun to play. It isn’t easy, but when you string together several vaults, one right after the other, you feel pretty good about it. In short, it is worth a download to play.
After so many years, the game play of Frogger has returned in a big way on mobile devices. With the popularity of Crossy Road, and as an homage to Frogger, Tech Tree Games has created a wonderful mesh of the two, with their game Bring Me Home. The game is fun, wildly colorful and wonderful art.
Whitaker Trebella of Fixpoint Productions is not only a game designer, but he is also a musician. You may be familiar with the games Pivvot and Polymer, which were released not too long ago for Android devices. His games are unique, colorful and always on the upper tier of difficulty, when it comes to game play. His latest game Piloteer, is absolutely stunning in art style, but definitely tough, when it comes to game play… and I like it!
Ketchapp has a knack for working with extremely talented game designers. Their latest collaboration with Bento Studios out of Lyon, France, is another successful pairing in my opinion. After firing up the game Escape, you are immediately thrust into an achingly beautiful world. Unfortunately, you have to pilot your rocket through perilous environments. In the midst of such beauty, will be death and destruction… over and over again.
Last year we reported on an amazing looking game from Uppercut Studios. Uppercut Studios is known for their well-received games Epoch and Epoch 2. Their latest game, which was expected to come out this year on mobile devices, is Submerged. We have been following this game and it looks amazing. Unfortunately, we just received notice that it will be delayed a bit for mobile devices.
