Electronics giant Sony has just announced that they will again take a run at releasing mobile games, specifically for Android and iOS. This is their latest attempt, after several previous debacles. Released by Sollmo, Buddy Rush 2 is the sequel to the original Buddy Rush, and is being rolled out onto Android. Like the first one, the game’s visuals are focused on being “cute’, so the characters are all rendered with large heads on smallish bodies, in an almost doll-like fashion. All the characters, controlled by players or NPC, good or bad, are known as “buddies”.

Released by Evangelos Karamolegkos, Galaxy Invaders 3D is, as one would reasonably expect from the game’s name, an arcade shooter that’s played in 3D. The game has no real story to speak of, and mostly focuses the action. Players will control a star fighter, located at the bottom of the screen in the standard arcade shooter format.
Released by Underwater Apps, Beat Jumper is a new tower jumper for the Android platform. Players will look to see how high they can climb the “Disco Tower”, a la Doodle Jump. What makes this game different is how it rewards players. The faster players make a decision, the higher the player can jump.
