If you’ve been in the version 0.11.0 beta since it began a few months ago, you’ve probably been enjoying a lot of the upcoming features we’ve been reporting on. Well it finally appears that everyone without beta access will be able to play all the new features in version 0.11.0 soon as the update will finally be leaving beta and going public onto Google Play later this week.

For those of you who used to drop many many quarters into arcade games back in the day, you may remember a game called Super Buster Brothers (or Super Busters Bros depending on how you like to call it). If you don’t know what Super Buster Bros is, it was a fun arcade game where you control your little character who is equipped with a grappling gun of sorts. Depending on whether you have certain power-ups, you would shoot your gun and it would go from the floor of the stage you were on to the ceiling and would either stay for a few seconds, disappear immediately, or have a few other effects.
Recently we just had Square Enix release the original Tomb Raider game onto Android and now the company has announced that they are working with another developer to bring a whole new Tomb Raider game to Android called Tomb Raider Relic Run. Square Enix has teamed up with Crystal Dynamics and Simutronics for this particular Tomb Raider game.
Last week three new games were announced that would be heading to Nvidia’s gaming-on-demand service called GRID, one of which was made available last week on Tuesday which was La-Mulana. The other two games are now on their way, one coming tomorrow and the last arriving next Tuesday, since Tuesday is the official release day for GRID titles.
Usually during the second week of any Humble Bundle, whether it be a mobile one or a themed one or any other type of bundle, there is usually additional games added to them. Developed by 232 Studios, Epic Eric is a new puzzle-platformer that will be arriving onto Android next week. In this game players will be assuming the role of Eric the Knight, or Princess Erica depending on which way you want to roll, with the goal of rescuing your beloved. Depending on who you are playing as, that will end up either being Eric the Knight or Princess Erica.
A week ago today Sega took the first steps in removing games from both Android and iOS marketplaces that don’t meet their new standards for mobile games. While Android only saw two games disappear, those being After Burner Climax and Jet Set Radio, iOS users saw a lot more games go poof. Well a week later more games have been removed from both platforms for the same reason.

Nvidia is getting ready to launch their new Shield Android TV console, which will allow us Android gamers to not only play Android games but PC and console games as well, depending on the system/service you use with it. Between that and Zen Studios getting ready to launch a new Portal pinball table that they worked on in conjunction with Valve, there is a lot of non-Android specific gaming heading our way soon. Since a lot of people are fans of Portal, we figured giving away some Portal-themed T-Shirts would be a fun thing to do.
For players that enjoy racing games, there’s a new entry into the Android catalog called Rush Star – Bike Adventure. Players will have access to several kinds of bikes that range from the classic motorbike to hoverbike of the future, with each bike being accompanied by a commensurate outfit.
The other day when Nvidia finally admitted to the 500GB model of the Nvidia Shield Android TV console actually existing and being real for consumers to purchase soon, one other tidbit of information was revealed as well. This was that the Android 5.1 update for the Shield tablet would be arriving soon, before the launch of the Shield console unit. Well it appears that ‘soon’ has turned out to be today.
