While not an entirely new game these days, 10tons’ Boom Brigade 2 is still a great game to play and now those of you who have Kindle Fire devices can snag a copy of this rather unique game off of the Amazon AppStore finally. For those of you unfamiliar with the game, let us dive into it a little to help refresh your memory a bit.
Infinite Dreams and their hit game Shoot the Zombirds got a Halloween update last year and now this year seems like the game will once again receive a new Halloween themed update soon. In this game it is your job to defend little Pumpkids against the demonic hordes of undead birds, but that is just the normal game and not the Halloween update.
I’ve been using the Acer Iconia Tab A510 as my primary Android device ever since I sold my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 back in May, and there was no bigger frustration than coming to know that my device was basically unsupported by Gameloft. Up until a few hours ago, only a handful (and by a handful I mean six) games were supported. I can’t recall all six, but Let’s Golf HD, Men in Black and the two latest games in the Asphalt series were among four of the supported games.
If there is one thing that Rovio knows how to do, and do it well, is merchandise the ever living hell out of Angry Birds and soon to be doing the same for Bad Piggies I’m sure. However, today’s newly announced partnership is about Angry Birds who will now be a part of McDonalds in a new cross-promotion between the two companies.
The closer we get to Halloween, the more games will be updating their content with Halloween themed stuff. This holds true for Madfinger Games who have begin teasing an Halloween themed update that should be arriving soon for their zombie filled FPS game Dead Trigger. So what will be coming in this new update?
Microsoft’s Xbox SmartGlass has had it’s cameo at a few events over the Summer and now we get to have a bit more of a solid release time frame for when it would be arriving to mobile platforms. That’s right, platforms, as in plural. Not only will Windows 8 mobile be getting it but so will iOS and Android as well. Of course Microsoft products will get it first while iOS and Android are slated to get SmartGlass sometime in early 2013.
We’ve had the pleasure of using the MOGA mobile gaming system for the past four or so days, giving it a thorough fondling in just about every aspect we could think of. Needless to say the concept, since it first was reported on, was a very good one and caught the interest of many developers both big and small. So now that we have played with it for a few days and now that it’s officially available in stores as of today, here is our rather in-depth review of the MOGA unit.
It is nearing Halloween and as we get closer to that night of candy, cavity and pranks, we will also continue to see more and more zombie and monster games making their way to Google Play. There is a new one out called DeadGrind which was developed by BulletLike which lets you do what you do best, shooting multitudes of zombies in the face.
While Spacetime Studios annual Halloween goodies have arrived today, part of it actually was released last week in the form of a content expansion for Pocket Legends with the new questing area Blacksmoke Mountain and new level cap of 76. However, Star Legends and Dark Legends are not to be left out either and starting today there will be plenty of Halloween goodies to take part in and collect.
Back in the day of the first Nexus device, the Nexus One, the device brought with it all the hardware we had wanted at that time and then some. It was what could truly be considered a flagship device as it was ahead of pretty much any other Android device available at the time it launched. Since then we have had a few more Nexus devices land in our laps, each one seemingly a little less stellar than its predecessor, although still very strong devices. Now we have had a rumor for awhile that there could be up to 5 Nexus devices heading our way soon, each from a different manufacturer.
