TinyCo and Marvel have teamed up for a new mobile game based around the Avengers called Marvel Avengers Academy. In this game players will be building their own Super Hero school and guiding the paths of world-famous characters. These characters aren’t adults, but complex young adults who are grappling with newly emerging powers while trying to maintain social lives.
Square Enix has been talking about release a remake for the original Mana game throughout the later part of last year on and off. Depending on where you live, you’ll know this game under a different name, such as with North America it is known as Final Fantasy Adventure. Well Square Enix released a new teaser trailer for this game the other day along with the news that it will be launching worldwide this Thursday.
Miitomo, Nintendo’s upcoming “social toy” of an app, now has a timeline for release that is official. For those unaware of what Miitomo is, and missed our previous articles about it, this is essentially a Tomodachi style of game but using Miis (The Nintendo Wii/Wii U avatars). Per Nintendo’s announcement today, prospective players can soon pre-register for their Miitomo account, beginning on February 17th.
I will start by saying that I am not a fan of zombies, or anything related to zombies. There are a plethora of zombie games that are available in the Play Store, specifically related to the aforementioned subject matter. Generally speaking, I just don’t play zombie games… until now. Zombie Catchers by Two Men and a Dog is entertaining, unique and has you running a franchise that sells unpalatable drinks… or so you would think.
Earlier this month Webzen announced that their mobile MMORPG called MU: Origin would be getting a Western release in the near future and that they were going to start beta testing the game for the West. Well the first closed beta was held last week, ending very early this morning. Corvus Games will soon release a fascinating action-based endless runner game entitled Arcane Knight. Yes, another endless runner. Though the endless runner genre is overcrowded with games, if it looks fun to play, I can’t help but download them to try them out. I for one never tire of endless runners. There is always space on my devices for one or two really good ones. Especially when they throw in a little twist. Corvus games has done that with Arcane Knight. Mount your steed and get ready for combat in this impressive looking medieval combat game.
Adventure game fans, take note: One of the genre’s best specimens, Grim Fandango Remastered, is now available on Nvidia’s Shield family of devices including the Shield Android TV via Nvidia’s cloud-based game streaming service GeForce Now.
Square Enix Montreal has decided to put Hitman: Sniper on sale for a limited time, all to help kick off a rather cool in-game event. This event is all about killing a lot of people in a certain amount of time. If players manage to accomplish this goal, everyone will receive a rather large in-game prize.
Studio Baikin is an independent game studio based in Lyon, France. What we know about this studio is that they produce good games that have a visual aesthetic that captures you. They are the creators of Dark Guardians, Climax and Slashing Demons. Their latest game Atomi, is a logic-puzzle game that is just as enjoyable as their last puzzle game Climax, though they are a bit different from one another.
