Valve has finally gotten around to updating their official Steam application on Android, changing the User Interface to reflect more of a Material design look instead of the old UI it had which honestly was pretty ugly. Of course looks aren’t everything and the app usually did its job, but having a nice looking application always helps.
If you’ve never been convinced to use the Amazon app store on your device, then one of Amazon’s seemingly monthly app giveaways should at least nudge you to take a peek. Following up on previous deals that saw gamers getting a free copy of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and many other titles, this one is actually pretty decent.
Ubisoft’s Just Dance series has a new title coming out soon which is appropriately named Just Dance 2016. They showed off a bit of this game during their press conference at E3 yesterday, complete with a popular Top 40 singer on stage, and it was pretty much as you would expect a Just Dance game to be.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is a new game announced today (as finally arriving soon) during Ubisoft’s press conference and there was also supposed to be a companion app coming along with this game as well. This app won’t put your face on a character like the newly announced companion app for NBA Live 2016 EA showed off earlier today. Instead it was something much cooler than that.
Machinima has finally released their application onto Google Play today, after being in the works for quite some time now. Machinima started off as a YouTube channel that would post videos that were made using the assets within a game to make original content, whether that be a movie, a short story, a humorous clip, and even music videos. The main thing was that is used assets from games to create this content. Over the years Machinima has expanded to cover all kinds of content creation including live action movies and so on. It is still based around video games most of the time.
Last week Jaymes finally posted about where I have been after a week of absence. The reason it took so long to post about it is because I wasn’t expecting to be out of commission for so long. I figured I would be a few days in a hospital bed, possibly able to work from there, and then back to the daily grind once I was home. That, however, was not the case, not even close to it.

We use YouTube a lot here at DroidGamers, whether it be posting trailers from other developer’s channels, or posting trailers and gameplay videos from our own channel, and now even uploading previous TwitchTV streams to YouTube. So with YouTube’s announcement of a paid subscription where people can pay to view videos without the ads, you could now watch everything without the ads. This is especially good for the long TwitchTV streams we have, and will continue to, upload onto YouTube. Content creators also need to know the details regarding this new feature.
