Depending on how you look at this app, you could say it is sort of a puzzle game or you could say it is an educational application. We happen to look at it as more of a puzzle game where you build engines in 3D. Regardless of which way you look at Weekend Mechanic 3D, it is a pretty neat application.

The ‘Wild West’ style of Google Play is ending, Google will be reviewing apps developers upload
One thing that has always been great about Google Play is that developers can immediate publish their applications and games right to the market without any wait time at all. The same goes for updates that need to be pushed to their existing apps and games. However that appears to be changing now with Google announcing that they will begin reviewing apps and games to uncover any violations (TOS violations, inappropriate content, rating violations etc etc) and malware.
Breaking news is coming out of Tokyo this morning as Nintendo has announced that the company has teamed up with DeNA to bring games to smartphones and tablets. On top of that, the agreement is also to build a new multi-membership service accessible worldwide.
We had a chance to talk with the folks over at Roblox during GDC 2015 about their Android app and if you use Roblox on your Android device then there is some good news for you. The entire application will be getting overhauled in terms of functionality and especially with regards to the user interface for the app.
Companion Applications are an interesting concept in a lot of ways because you’re basically trying to take advantage of the mobile gaming industry, and the gaming industry in general, by extending the functionality of your game to include mobile devices. This could be for a lot of reasons and done in many ways, whether it is actually useful features, a second screen feature, news and update, and whatever else a developer can think up in order to make their games look like there is a lot more features to it then there actually is.

Today the Samsung Gead VR headset has gotten three additional games and applications added for it on the Oculus Rift store. To be more specific, there is one new game and two new applications, both of which are something you’ll want to download for your headset.
Last year at around this time Amazon offers up plenty of freebies for everyone to snag and enjoy for the holiday season. This year Amazon is doing this once again, offering everyone with access to the Amazon AppStore a total of $220 in free games and applications for a limited time.
The Humble Bundle app, is being taken down from the Google Play Store, with the reason being they can make more improvements to it if it is not a Google Play published app.
A few of the bigger game development companies lately have been making sure to release companion applications for some of their major PC and console game launches. One of these companies is Ubisoft who has launched a companion app for pretty much every release for their more major franchises as of late and Assassin’s Creed Unity is no exception from the rule.
